Digital Tabletop Gaming
Lately, I've been playing a lot of digital versions of tabletop games. So I thought I'd start a thread.
I play on the iPad, but most of these games are available on Steam and Android as well.
Some favorites of mine:
I am absolutely in love with the digital port of Sentinels of the Multiverse. It's a great game, and the port is put together well.
I also bought Quarriors the other day. It was on sale (iOS) for $0.99. [Edit: As Michael Corvin points out, it's free, and still is as of 4/11/15]Not sure if it still is. it's fun -- it's a dice game that plays like a deck builder. Never played it in real life, but at that price I decided to take a chance and don't regret it.
And I spend a lot of time with Talisman. I hate the real world version of the game, but as a solo game, it fills a need. I can play for 10, 20, 30 minutes and put it aside for later.
I would also recommend Carcassone (GREAT port), Elder Sign, and Small World.
So what is everyone playing?

I had Quarriors on the wishlist for awhile. The iOS version was actually free the other day. Played a few games and couldn't really get into it so I dumped it from the wishlist. Saved me $50.
Boss Monster was another I had been eyeing. Also recently free in iOS. Same story. Didn't like it and saved me from buying the real thing.
I also nabbed Pandemic back when it was on sale. Haven't tried that one yet though.
I haven't played in a couple years but for light hearted tabletop fun, Yahtzee Adventures was a blast.

FYI, the current Humble Weekly Bundle is a bunch of digital Tabletop games. Good way to get a few PC games for cheap.

I also picked up Boss Monster for free. I've played the physical version; not my favorite game, but you can't argue with the price.

I have a ridiculous amount of board games in my iPad. I buy most of them as they get reviewed on the Geek.
Solforge is a continual favorite.

Not sure -- I've never tried. Do you have something in mind that would be different from internet-based multiplayer? Because many of them have that, and I assume (but don't know) that if you're on a network, the software will let you do multiplayer with anyone else on that network.

Hearthstone for example is a two player game but you can't play against local players. But maybe some of these do. I assume from your gamecenter friends list.

My collection:
Those are the board games. Some others like FTL or Frozen Synapse I also own and would consider close to the same category but they are more video game than tabletop board.

A good day for digital tabletop games ... the latest Sentinels expansion (Infernal Relics) hit iOS -- it was released on Monday for Android and Steam -- and Splendor was released cross platform.

I was happy to see both hit. I have the season pass for Sentinels and Splendor is super fun. Nice production values as well.
Would easily recommend both.
