Re: LEGO Dimensions (Multi-Console, 9/27/2015)

Damn, I wish I would have known about the pre-order sale! I missed it.

The sets I currently have opened (about 20 minifigs & their vehicles) are just in front of the tv on the stand in the living room. My kids are old enough to not mess with them and the cat couldn't care less. Dusting is a fucking nightmare, though.

I have no idea what I'm going to do going forward with more than double the amount now PLUS all the new waves with their pad makeovers.

The new target cartwheel offer is 70% off of fun packs for LOTR, Chima and Lego Movie fun packs. I believe that is a total of 12 fun packs priced at $3.60 each.

That's good. I could try to swap the 7 I bought at BB last week for Target if I found them but even with $1.19 + tax + 5% Target card difference, I feel like it's going to be a wash considering BBRZ and time.

Benny appears to be hard to find at Target's around me.

I was originally only buying the figures required to 100% the game but with the 70% off, I ended up buying everything I didn't own. I have decided to buy everything under $4 as that's the price of a polybag/minifig.

I bought these cheap $3 bead box containers from Michaels. Holds the mini figs perfectly. The larger vehicles are in a bigger plastic box.

This thing is SO addictive. Just mash 80s pop culture with LEGOs and XBox and you have a perfect storm.

My goal is to never buy anything unless it's at least 40% off...so far I have almost all of wave one. Still missing the Dr. Who pack, but got most the rest from this week's Best Buy sale.

I just store mine on a shelf in my office. The kids know not to mess with them unless they're playing the game. Would be harder with a 3-year-old.

P.S. Someone may have already posted this, but I've found this spreadsheet super-helpful for knowing what I've got, what I paid, etc: https://www.reddit.com/r/Legodimensions/wiki/tracker

Re: LEGO Dimensions (Multi-Console, 9/27/2015)

With the Best Buy sale, I picked up the three that I need for the game (Emmett, UniKitty and Jurassic World). I would have picked up Ghostbusters if it was in stock. I've never planned to go all-in with the game and have held off from picking up things like Chima, Portal and LotR figures. Sticking with characters I enjoy playing with - Mainly Doctor Who and DC heroes. We'll see if I change my mind when there's another sale before the G2 figures are released.

I got this at SDCC during the Lego Dimensions panel:

My son got one as well and sold his for $50. A week after we got back, Lego Dimensions contacted me on Facebook (based on a post I made when they first announced Green Arrow) and asked if I wanted ANOTHER one (not knowing I got one at SDCC). I said yes and gave that one to my nephew who loves the game. More than likely, he'll lose the bow.

I wasn't planning on buying Chima stuff, but I was at Target yesterday and they had the Chima fun packs marked down to 8.48 on clearance, and the Cartwheel stacked with that, bringing the price down to about $2.50

Sadly Cragger isn't on clearance near me.

So far the only clearance figures I have found are Laval, Eris and Gollum. Seems to be hit or miss on what stores have them on clearance though. Here are some links to check clearance prices / stock.

Laval

Eris

Opposite here. I have Eris and Cragger, but Gollum and Laval are missing. Checking another store today. That's a heckuva price.

Re: LEGO Dimensions (Multi-Console, 9/27/2015)

When I went searching for Lego Dimensions last week during the line wide sale, it was odd to me how Targets nearby had very different stock, like one would have a huge surplus of one figure and the other would have none of them.

I'm ready to dust this off again!

Everything except the Adventure Time level pack was just delivered.

Isn't there another adventure time pack that's a TRU timed exclusive?

Not sure.. you mean different from the standard one that everyone sells?

I'm just firing it up now, there is a new downloadable content manager. You have to download all of the levels/worlds individually now.

Re: LEGO Dimensions (Multi-Console, 9/27/2015)

I would only buy two of those at full price, so I'm willing to wait for a sale.

That's actually nice, assuming you can pre-download them at will.

Yeah, I would't buy any at full price, they are on sale a lot it seems. I ordered all of this wave from Amazon a while back when they were they were included in a half price sale (except the Adventure Time level, it wasn't included in the sale).

I haven't played this in forever. I bought the Dr. Who and Portal sets but never played them. So I can wait for a good sale as well.

I have a ton of the first series still boxed, including the ones you mentioned. I can wait.

Okay, so TRU has 2 exclusive packs I "need" now. That's good to know for any upcoming combo sales.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that one. Thanks!

I played through the MI level tonight, and it was actually somewhat long for a level. I think it had 5 checkpoints. Pretty decent.
