Oh, I just found this on Harmonix's blog: http://rbdb.online/

Doesn't appear to sync with your library automatically, but since they're partnered up, maybe that's something they'll do in the future?

Higher difficulty stars weigh more regarding scoring. I believe in RB4 the highest level difficulty now is Brutal. So Brutal stars now outweigh Expert stars.

I always play expert for G/B and Pro drums. I don't do vocals. The only time I don't play expert is when playing online (cause I don't want look sad) with some nightmare songs I will never be able to play well enough to get at least 3 stars....like Dream Genie...Nope.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

I haven't tried the "brutal" level. I think I noticed it but I can't even imagine what that would be like on guitar or drums.

Crew-wise I joined up with a crew called "No Quarters." It has a couple of DVDTalkers in there.

Couple of other questions I came up with when trying out my new set of drums last night:
Did they take away the ability to scroll thru the menu but hitting the drums? It would only let me go thru the menus by hitting the buttons or using the pad on the drums. If so, that is a strange thing to change. It would let me play the drums just fine in a song but if not playing a song, the drums were dead. They would light on the screen when you hit them but would do nothing.

Do any of you multi-instrument players have to calibrate differently for each instrument? I noticed that my drums were just doing so-so and the kick pedal was really off. I checked the settings and it only had a calibration setting for the guitar. I did some reading and it seems they did not separate drum setting and said that the one calibration will handle all instruments.

This didn't seem to be the case for me last night since after I calibrated the drums separately, the kick pedal seemed much better and was hitting on time. I then switched back to the guitar and it was way off. I had to calibrate again for the guitar. It does not appear to save your calibrations for each instrument.

Haven't noticed any issues switching from guitar to drums, but I'm hardly a world-class player.

Drum pad navigation is an option you need to enable.

I thought about that but didn't see that option. I will look for it again. Thanks!

With all of these questions I have been posing, I am starting to feel like Oldboy.

You sure about the drum pad navigation option? I remember it from RB3 but didn't see anything in RB4 for it. Super annoying, so it'd be awesome if it's still possible to enable.

Settings->Modifiers->Drum Navigation

Right under "Auto Kick"

Probably should have been under "Instrument Options" on the drum player's context menu, but I'm not on the UI team

That's a 6-pack of very popular songs.

...Though the completionist in me feels the need to point out that we're still one song ("Amazing") away from being able to perform the entire Alicia Silverstone trilogy in RB.

Early announcement for next week's DLC (which you get this week if you're on a European PS4):

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

I have read that the Rock Band 3 cymbals will work on the RB4 drum kit but I cannot get them to register. Is there any setting that needs to be changed? I have looked everywhere on google and in the menus and cannot seem to find what the issue is. I figured it was just plug and play but so far it ain't happening.

Anyone here know or have their RB3 cymbals hooked up?

No one here had the above issue?

One other issue I am having is that my instruments, both guitars and drums (all brand new RB4 equipment) keep turning off by themselves constantly. Middle of the song, end of the song...and even sometimes closing out the game and going all the way back to the Xbox One home screen which is really strange. No rhyme or reason which one may go out or why. Even does it with vocals sometimes. Brand new batteries in them all and I have swapped out the batteries in them all. Can't seem to figure that issue out either.

Everything I see says your RB3 cymbals should work.
I believe there was a firmware upgrade for the Madcatz RB4 drumkit.
Do you have the PDP or the Madcatz kit?

Is your Xone on the latest update?

Yeah, the Xbox is updated and I have the PDP instruments I believe since I bought the RB Rivals kit. I don't think Madcatz instruments came with those kits, did they?

I have done google searches and can't seem to find anything about a PDP firmware update. Xbox is updated and so is RB (as far as I can tell) so I don't know what is causing the drop-outs. It is pretty frustrating since they seem to happen for no reason at all. Sometimes they can drop as many as three times during one song. Then go for several without dropping.

I just went ahead and order a RB4 cymbals kit since Amazon has them on sale for $30. I missed them more than I thought even though I only play Medium on drums.

The madcatz drum kit must have worked with the RB3 cymbals and maybe not the PDP kits?

Who knows. I can't seem to find many answers out there in cyberspace. All complaints, questions and answers seem to mainly come from 2015 with nothing much recent.

The other thing I saw is signal noise causing interference.

Is your WiFi router close by your X1 or any other device that is spitting out signal noise?

No. It is upstairs. I did read something about cell phones causing interference possibly but I moved my cell into another room and it kept up the issue. Weird.

Thanks for the responses & suggestions Kelkee!
