Got the Borderlands GOTY for the PS4 at my Gamestop this morning. Graphics has improved however I don't like the new Angel in this one, prefer the one on the PS3.

Apparently it's in very limited supply because the store I went to said they only got 3 copies and had people outside waiting for the store to open to buy them and none of the other stores around have stock either.

I was kinda hoping that BL GOTY would be a pre-order bonus with BL3 purchase, but knew that was a long-shot.

Ultra HD graphics DLC for Xbox One X, and PC I believe... don't know about PS4 Pro; - For Borderlands 2 and the Prequel.

It would make almost no sense for them just to release BL GOTY and then also offer it as a pre-order bonus. That would cannibalize 90% of it's sales. Offering the Handsome Collection would have been more likely since it's been out for a few years and has been discounted heavily.

Been a LOOOONG time since I played BL1, but I distinctly remember liking BL2 A LOT more then BL1...

So, was I mistaken, and should I get this new BL1, or ignore it and just go back to re-playing the updated BL2?

Tough call but factor in the $30.00 for a game you already have played...BUT...has been overhauled visually, added more guns, upgraded the Boss(es), character models and still the best of the entire series. I would've but simply have too much on my plate already with Division 2, Anthem and Path of Exiles. I do know one who got it and might end buying it because this is a game meant for co-op. For now my $$$ will go to the pre-order along with taking some vacation time....

Torn going Digital or trying to save $$$ with either Best Buy, Target or Amazon but I just don't like the idea of rushing somewhere and praying they didn't sell all the copies....like it has happened to me twice at Best Buy...even with a pre-order.

Never bought a pre-order physical from Amazon which we're a Prime Member...but just when do you actually get the game in your hands? Any other deals going or extra bonuses?

By release date, (almost) always with Prime.

i got the super duper edition or whatever for 3 and then B1 GoY. i like it better than 2, but i was burnt out after playing it and then Zed and DLC, but i'll give it another go before this...

No, not their regular copies. Super Deluxe Editions might be hard to come by though. Well worth a pre-order.

Another reason for me just to do Digital......Last time I ordered one of those physical copy Super Gold Versions (Best Buy)….guess what, they didn't have any left, ended up getting the normal version 1/2 off but they had 2-3 people trying to find it and the store manager got involved and made the deal. I just don't trust the retail stores anymore when it comes to the these Gold, Super Deluxe, Special Editions. Because the people working there make sure either they or their friends gets a copy FIRST and someone, somewhere is going to get screwed...you can count on it.....

yeah it looks like other Borderlands. and i'm addicted again to the first. but it does look the same. i guess with the cartoonish palette they can't revamp looks in anyway?
