Spoiler:
.... before 2 weeks ago ..... that's right, * Heart Of The Praxic Fire ... the one chest piece I waited months on and then got from a Xur engram, the same chest piece he wound up selling the next week ... I guess the positive way to look at it is, I did get the piece with my first engram purchase and the one I got today had a better role

ps. * bet you thought I was going to say Gjallarhorn

Yep.

More thanks for last night fellas. Got a couple of P&Ts that were exotic sharded. Got a second Fatebringer (after not getting one for 6 months, had two drop on consecutive weeks).

Ran 2 of my 3 NFs and got exotic gauntlets for hunter and heart of praxis fire which broke down as its roll was worse than the one I have.

This is an interesting alternative route to get through the Abyss quickly.

Anyone up for a few Scrota normal runs tonight? Still looking for Chests and Helmets for my Titan and Hunter. If not I'll be down for a hard run. Still looking for the pulse and auto rifles.

I can bring my 32 Warlock or my 31 Titan to pop boomer bubbles. If I luck out and get a Titan Helmet or chest I can hit 32 as soon as it's upgraded.

If you guys are doing Crota hard I might be up for later. I need a couple of shots @ a Black Hammer so I would be in for normal.

Re: *** Official DVDTalk PS4 Destiny Clan - Daggers Of Destiny ***

Three normal Crota runs and we beat him down three times in a row on the first try. No Hunter or Titan drops for either chest or helmet armor. This game however thinks I love fusion rifles since it dropped twice for me. I did pick up a bunch of shards so I should be able to level up once I actually get the armor I need for either character.

I'd like to do the two hard runs left for me on VOG sometime within the next few days. I want that Fatebringer!

Re: *** Official DVDTalk PS4 Destiny Clan - Daggers Of Destiny ***

Stayed up too late last night and I am paying for it now but It was all good. 3 straight successful Crota runs was nice. Finally got a Black Hammer to drop for me and had mostly Radiant Energy and Shards drop along with a couple of intetresting pieces of armor with strong rolls (really high intellrct/discipline).
It was a good night.

Two more Dead Orbit packages, total rewards? 2 Energy and 1 Shard. *sigh* I don't know why I even bother any more.

Re: *** Official DVDTalk PS4 Destiny Clan - Daggers Of Destiny ***

This week:

3 Normal Crota fully raids (no third Hunger)
3 Hard Crota kills (better Warlock helm and a Hard Light)
3 Gorgon chests (MIDA and shards)
3 Atheon hard kills (4th Horseman maybe?)
3 Nightfalls (Lupe Hunter chest and purple garbage)

Mostly a waste of time, but not a lot of time, because it was all pretty efficient with LFG. I got in one bad Hard Crota group and knew after 2 runs that it would be a bust and bailed. Otherwise, smooth.

really what he did does not take a lot of time and despite some of chess' rhetoric I believe he accepts the game more than he leads on sometimes (just wants to see it made/have been better)

Yeah, I saw that, but he is still spending a lot of time on the game when you add up all the time he has spent playing, since he stated his dislike in playing it... and the amount of time he takes to bash it whenever possible...

This is accurate.

I've been consistent that I like a lot of things about the game, and the things that I dislike are pretty widely disliked. I think maybe I dislike them that much more or at least more loudly because 1) it really is a game that should be right in my wheelhouse, which makes it extra disappointing for me, and 2) I'm playing a similar game that consistently does all of those things properly/better

I do have a lot of time in the game, and I do enjoy playing it...aside from some of the nightfall raids and such. What I complain about, and you can look back to see this, is all of the underlying systems in the game: currencies, progression, loot, inventory management, lack of content, lack of customization, etc.

And I will say that the recent changes to the app have helped the game immensely, as it's now much easier to move gear and materials around. All of your stuff should be in your ship in-game, but it's a start.

Re: *** Official DVDTalk PS4 Destiny Clan - Daggers Of Destiny ***

pretty funny story

we were doing a couple Crota hard runs last night and Sauce and I were the 2 Titans
I asked him what rocket launcher he had (to make sure he said one with tracking so I could determine who would do the outside bubble) ... he answered HOC

next time he is asked that, his answer may be different

Re: *** Official DVDTalk PS4 Destiny Clan - Daggers Of Destiny ***

Someone on reddit claimed they figured out what Xur's drops are going to be. AFAIK, they got this week right (they predicted Icebreaker last week).

No Gjallarhorn in sight.

That's the only thing that can get me back into the game before the next expansion comes out.

Re: *** Official DVDTalk PS4 Destiny Clan - Daggers Of Destiny ***

I think I'm officially done until the next expansion too. I didn't even bother with any raids or nightfalls this week because there's literally nothing I need. All characters, weapons and gear are maxed, and I have a stockpile of shards and energy. There's really nothing for me to do in this game anymore except try to build my grimoire score playing crucible... but honestly I'd rather stick toothpicks in my eyes than play that garbage.

Re: *** Official DVDTalk PS4 Destiny Clan - Daggers Of Destiny ***

Taking off for a few months from November till the end of December payed off for me since I'm still enjoying the game. Honestly, I just enjoy raiding with the group of guys we have. The drops are important, but they aren't essential to me. Hell, I'm still looking for my first fatebringer, and I'd like to have one for all three characters.
