Glad to see the series still going. I really hope they go back to their 2D roots, although I know they won't. The last game was fun but 2 & 3 were still the highlight of the series.

i bought the most recent one during a steam sale a few months ago. I played for 10 minutes and uninstalled it. I am 35 years old and my reflexes and move memorization are no longer there. Why did i even bother

I don't think SF should be lumped with MK for combos. SF is more freed in its combos than MK. MK is rigid to the core in needing preset combo. SF? Not so much. There are combos that are commonly strung together but the system doesn't halt you when you stop a known combo. MK does.

I agree that fighting games lost their appeal. I mean to die hards of course they're the best thing ever but...I can't picture myself paying full price for a fighting game and as dthrdrx already said....these games were meant for the arcade.
