Wow. It can be such a deep game. I got it yesterday, but I'm HORRIBLE at sports games, so I'll just play basic modes. My hat's off to you guys who can commit like that to a game. Maybe one day if I put the time into it.

I do like the changes they made this year. The defensive camera is a big improvement

@ Gooter - I'm in the league with sauce. We played Madden 25 with All Pro Settings but we tweaked the AI down a bit over time with input from the league members to make the game more realistic. We will probably do the same thing with 15.

I like that there's an extensive training mode, and I agree that the defensive cam makes a big difference. That new interception thing (switch back to the defender and hold a button down) seems a bit too easy to attempt ints, but I haven't played many games... does it at least compromise your defense if you try it and fail?

Also, did they mean to put Cam Newton on the cover or something? It's odd that he's the presenter, and your first order of business when you start the game is to torch Sherman and co.

I always wait a bit for the Slider specialists on Operation Sports and Pasta padre to get their sliders in. And then we tweak it from there during offline and preseason games. As commisioner sauce has made it a rule not to mess with things during the regular season - which is a good thing.

He's still a douche though.

This is my first Madden game. Man, I think it would have been easier to just join a real football team. What happened to the days of Tecmo Super Bowl?

I actually really like the tutorial in this year's game (though I haven't gone through all of it) but no way am I going to be able to remember all that stuff, let alone implement it in a real game. On defense especially it seems like the offense doesn't give you time to do squat, which is realistic, I guess?

Yeah the tutorial and training mode is a pretty cool new feature to help improve your skills.

Played my first game last night. I was the Rams at home vs the Seahawks. Lost 10-0. I noticed the defense has improved a lot. My game took almost 2+ hours to play with 6 minute quarters. Late in the game last night, Shaun Hill ironically got injured late in the game and had to be pulled like what happened in today's game.

You can make the game run faster by adjusting the settings to get rid of the slow clock and Dropping the time when you get up on the ball to 14 seconds. We play 9 minute quarters and games against the AI run closer to hour to an hour and 15 min with those 2 settings changed.

EA is removing Ray Rice from this game on Friday.

Heads up to anybody looking to join the PS4 league mentioned above. We plan on holding the draft early in December, giving everybody a chance to take advantage of the black Friday sales. You have a week to play your game and do any other team maintenance, we tend to all get done around the 5 day mark. Chime in if your are interested and what team you would want.

I finally traded this in. Not because I was bored with it, but because of an annoying save issue.

Basically the game will sometimes go straight to the main menu after a game. It's totally random. So anything that happened during the game is gone.

After it happened to me three straight times I had enough. Fuck off, EA.

Thinking of picking up Madden15 Superbowl Edition in this week's PSN sale ($23.99).

Wondering, how well do the Madden games hold up when the season is over? Does EA still publish roster updates for the next season when Madden16 is released? Do fans create an updated roster and can it be imported into Madden15?

This edition also includes some MUT packs. I think I understand the general gist of MUT - open packs, get player's cards, buy/sell/trade cards in auction house or with others, play games for coins, buy more packs, etc.

What I don't know is does EA still support MUT after the season? Does MUT still work or is playable when Madden16 comes out? Is MUT even fun?

I'm not sure about the roster updates, but if you do pick it up, feel free to join our dvdtalk centric league next season. We're currently in week 6, you have about 3 months to get ready. It's a fun group and we're always looking for more people to join in on the douchebaggery.

Servers typically stay up for 2 years on the EA football games. Games hold up well. I am not sure about MUT and the length that it's servers stay running for but I would assume the same. I could pop in last years game (PS3 not PS4) and see tonight though.

As for rosters - EA supports rosters for the current season. sfter that you are on your own. For rosters it is reall easy to share and import edited rosters. I like to get rosters. settings and sliders from Operation sports or pastapadre. They have really active sport game communities. Never ever pay for rosters. I used to donate money to a couple of guys on OS that would put together NCAA Football rosters.

We also play in a custom Madden league where we do a fantasy draft and go through 3-4 seasons. there are 9 of us and you are more than welcome to join us once we get to the offseason (only time new players can be added).

Madden has one more roster update after the Super Bowl and that will be the final one for the game by EA. After that, you will have to look for roster updates from the gaming community like the ones mentioned on Operation Sports or other Madden gaming related sites.

I have tried to get into MUT but it's something that doesn't keep my interest at all. They are a ton of guys who play it and are hooked on it though. EA makes a ton of money off of MUT, FUT and LUT sales. It really is a cash cow for them.

I went to MUT and couldn't really figure out what to do with it, or the point in spending money for players or packs or whatever. I basically spent a bunch of points I got for free and ended up with a bunch of shitty guys and decided it was stupid and moved on
