Agreed. I tried too and it was a disaster. There were like 40 people inthe lobbies too so it's not like many people actually try. This game has never worked online well and it's crazy they keep gettiing a free pass on it.

I really believe that the interest in owning a baseball game nowadays, aside from the fantasy of RTTS, is the desire to play online with friends. However, for them failing to deliver something better than a barely functioning online platform is point that they will need to correct in the very next installment of the game or I will no longer purchase this series and I hope others will follow suit. It should not be that difficult to create a two player experience that has very little on screen action and have it take place with little to no lag.

The RTTS is better this year but you get spoiled by the My Career mode in the NBA 2k series. A baseball game that had something like that (press conferences, endorsements, trade requests, buying new gear, etc.) would be awesome.

I really wanted to being back out dvdtalk league this year but I would rather keep my hair. I didn't want to dread having to play a 10-15 game schedule with the crappiest online of any of the next-gen games I have played so far.

I finally wrapped up the platinum on this one today. I think I got my money's worth of baseball just going for that $%^&@ Cabrera trophy. After I got that and the 10 pitchers or more trophy then the rest was smooth sailing. Kind of surprised to see that the platinum percentage is still sitting at 0.1 completion.

All the MLB games have pretty low platinum rates. Even on trophy websites the rates are way down there. Sports games tend to have lower platinum rates because most who play them don't care about trophies. And trophy hunters aren't usually major sports fans, so they don't gravitate toward them.

3 of my 5 rarest trophies are from MLB 10. That game is also my rarest platinum by a wide margin.

played a game tonight after a hiatus and pitched a perfect game striking out 16
trophy pops up at the end of the game and had to laugh since it wasn't for the perfect game but because I didn't strike out at bat over 9 innings .... LOL

Baseball fans across the world relish the return of America’s great pastime along with the return of peanuts, Yasiel Puig, Matt Vasgersian, and of course, MLB 15: The Show. As many of you are excited for the new MLB season to begin, the team here in San Diego is just as excited to show you everything we’ve been working on for MLB 15 The Show.

Year-to-Year Saves

Users who purchased MLB 14 The Show will be able to continue their Franchise and Road to the Show progress in MLB 15 The Show with the Year-to-Year Saves feature. Saves between the two versions will be forward-compatible, meaning you don’t have to worry about starting your Franchise or Road to The Show seasons over!

Partner up with Brand Sponsors, giving your broadcast elements an official sponsor and earn some extra dough to spend on your team.

Directional Hitting Interface

(PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

Featured for the first time in MLB 15 The Show is the new Directional Hitting interface, which allows you to influence the direction of your hits in real-time while you swing. Using the L-Stick, you can attempt to influence fly balls, ground balls, pushed hits, pulled hits, or any of those in combination.

Universal Rewards

•Virtual Baseball cards to be collected and easily assembled into a competitive Diamond Dynasty team

Legends

We partnered with the MLB Player’s Alumni Association to make a total of 30 Legends playable in MLB 15 The Show. Collect an entire MLB team, and you’ll unlock an iconic alumni player from that team. There’s one from each team, and though you’ll have to find or unlock the card to slot them into your Dynasty squad, you can simply opt in to utilizing the whole pool of Legends in your Franchise mode.

“Inside The Show” News Suite

(PS4, partial PS3)

Franchise, RTTS, and Season modes all feature a new suite of features centered on providing news updates from around the league. Inside The Show is a new radio broadcast that will be heard at the beginning of each new day and will discuss recent scores, notable performances, team news, milestones, records, standings, and more. In addition, the new League Updates panel, found in season based modes, gives the user a quick snapshot of updates from around the League so you don’t have to dig through multiple screens to get the basics.

As you can see, our goal this year was to build off the solid foundation of MLB 14 and expand on the game we love to make MLB 15 The Show the best baseball game ever made.

Worldwide Gameplay Reveal on Twitch

We’re also excited to announce the worldwide gameplay reveal of MLB 15 The Show on February 5th at 2:00PM pacific on Twitch. My local K-Mart went out of business last week and had everything marked down 95% off the regular retail price. I bought MLB 14: The Show for the PS4 for $1.75.

That's a pretty good value, for only ten dollars more. I skipped the first PS4 edition, and stuck with the prior year's installment, but this might be too hard to pass up.

Especially with Puig and the Dodgers represented on the cover! :thumbsup:

Damn you all fawning over this release. Now I've gone ahead and preordered it from Best Buy for in-store pick up. Might as well keep my options open and make sure I'm able to get a Collector's Edition if I want one at launch. :shrug:
