Btw, if you've used the 7 day free trial in the past, you still might be able to do it again. I was able to start the free trial back up the other day. I originally did it a year or 2 ago, I think.

Re: Playstation Now - Streaming Service Announced.

So I just signed up for the free 1 week trial of this last night.

I played some of the Injustice game and was pleasantly surprised how well the controls responded considering it's streaming in the cloud.

Who here has this? Are you satisfied with it? Do you think it's worth the cost?

There is currently a promo for $45 for 12 months. That sounds quite enticing. If you all think it's worth it, I'll cancel after the free trial and see if it will let me sign up for the promo.

Re: Playstation Now - Streaming Service Announced.

So I bumped this thread 6 days ago and got no answer.

Does anyone here currently have a subscription to this? And if so, what do you think? Did it work for you or not?

There's a promo for $45 for an entire year that I'm thinking about getting to have access to all these games, but I would like to hear any thoughts.

I think that is the answer.

This article from last November notes that PS Now has a branding problem, since it's primarily known as a game streaming service, but it now also has games you can download to a PS4 and play, similar to Xbox's Game Pass, but not many people know about that or associate the PS Now service with that.

This Wikipedia article has a list of games. There's over 800 of them, where around 300 of them are downloadable to a PS4.

Re: Playstation Now - Streaming Service Announced.

I still have my PS3 hooked up so any game I want to play I already have access to. Paying extra to stream them on the PS4 seems like a waste of money.

Well that's certainly more interesting. They need a new marketing firm.

They really are not good at sub-branding. Major reason why Playstation Vue went bust is nobody knew it was a TV service.

Re: Playstation Now - Streaming Service Announced.

Well, I guess I got my answer. Looks like no one here subscribes to it.

I'll look for some reviews on YouTube and see what they think of it.

Why not just pull the trigger and give us a review?

And where's this deal? I'm curious now that Jay pointed out that it's more like Game Pass than it used to be.

Re: Playstation Now - Streaming Service Announced.

I gave in. Paid the $44.99 for the 1 year subscription. I did try Injustice and it seemed to play relatively smooth with no problems.

$3.75/month for an all you can stream video game service seems like a very reasonable price for at least 1 year.
