Yikes. Hope that is something they adjust and tweak post-launch.

It was something that bothered me in beta, but not as much since the missions weren't as tough and I didn't play the missions more than once anyway. Right now I'm just trying to grind side missions to get another level and see if I have an easier time soloing. I'm not sure if peoples gear just sucks or what, but everything seems to get disproportionately harder when you start added other players.

That is truly amazing. The youtube video was awesome. I can't believe that got by quality control.

You know I waited until December 15 to get my "next generation" console and have been playing a solid 6+ hours a week but I don't see much of a reason to have upgraded yet (other than games aren't being developed for last gen). Hopefully there will be something groundbreaking, fresh, non buggy, soon.
Granted I'm only on my third game but even a supposed triple A game like Dying Light isn't really impressing me.

@ that pic.

I am already enjoying this more than destiny. Seems like quite a bit more customization options.

Re: The Division -- Xbox One/PS4 -- March 8th, 2016

Anyone else get kicked last night. I did twice and one time took forever to reconnect. The sad part is me and random were doing the Assault on Precinct mission and was 90% done when we were kicked. however it loaded us both up but at the start where we had to redo the whole mission.

I do like seeing "Friends" on the map and a few times came close to jumping in or asking to come over. But I just opened my base and need to do a few of the early stuff but would like to join or have some join me.

Reminds me of the FF14 beta. A story NPC had a bug where only one player could talk to him at a time. Same thing....there was a giant line of players just waiting to talk to him. lol

Re: The Division -- Xbox One/PS4 -- March 8th, 2016

i was only able to play for a few hours last night, but what time I was able to put in I enjoyed. I did a few missions leading up to and including the
Spoiler:
Madison Square Garden mission.

Crafting seems cool, but I think I'll be holding off on that until the higher tier weapons become available. Also, I wouldn't sell green level or higher weapons or gear back to the vendor for peanuts. You can break down those items for crafting materials to be used later. I beleive it's a 5:1 ratio. 5 green give 1 blue, etc.

I was not a fan of the cover system in the Beta, but I've gotten used to it. Coming from playing Destiny and FPS shooters the past few years, the 3rd person perspective will take some time to get used to.

The Destiny comparisons I keep reading online really need to stop. Other than a shared gaming world, they feel like 2 completely different games.

Anyone on PS4 feel free to add your info to the Clan thread. There are two of us right now, and one of us doesn't even have the game yet.

Got you and I believe I saw you on the map. I figured some would just want to go out and venture on their own and get use to stuff. So you made it to the Madison Square mission....that was a bit tough with two of us in the beta. I got to Level 4 but not sure how much help I can be at that level until I do & collect more.

I don't know. I've spent two hours with it. It kind've feels like Gears Of War meets Watch Dogs. I'll have to give the multiplayer a whirl.

The server I was on didn't have a line for the laptop. We all just pushed our way up there like stockbrokers right after the bell rings.

Still trying to get used the game. It's very light in terms of tutorial. I had to figure out grenades and medkits on my own. Not difficult stuff, but I'm wondering what other gameplay mechanics I'm missing because the game didn't show them to me.

FYI, not sure if you know, but this game does not have traditional PVP modes such as TDM, CTF, etc.

Hold down those buttons and you can select powerups and different grenades.

Re: The Division -- Xbox One/PS4 -- March 8th, 2016

The Napalm Site mission went from absolutely impossible with 4 people (slog all the way to the boss and we died like 20 times before quitting) to ridiculously easy solo. Not only do they increase the enemy numbers by what seems like 4x, they also make them crazy bullet sponges taking at least 4x more damage to kill.

They really need to adjust mission difficulty with multiple team members.

Re: The Division -- Xbox One/PS4 -- March 8th, 2016

I've loved every second I've played so far.

Spent last night just running around manhattan for awhile doing random things and leveling up. When I played this morning, I did the first actual mission in Penn Plaza to open the base and the enemies weren't hard at all because of it.

There's just so much to do though. Just walking down a street looking at the area and I've come across missing agents, phone recordings and other misc. things not to mention the random people asking for help and all the side missions.

I don't see myself playing anything else for a good while.

I should be able to start playing this tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll add my info to the clan page, but I play mostly during the day and have a hard time getting on for group activities most nights, so I'm a pretty shitty clan mate. You've been warned.

I played a couple hours last night. Didn't seem that great to me. I haven't given up yet.

Wow, if it's truly a mix of those two games I should be playing it now. Gears is my favorite series and while Watch Dogs didn't live up to what it could be I enjoyed it. If anyone else here agrees with that statement I might have to get it sooner than later.

I see where he's coming from with that, but I don't think it's wholly that comparable. Gears I can see solely based on the cover system.

The cover system is very much like Gears. The missions, side quests, exploration, etc. definitely feels like WD.

Just got booted at the very end of the Hudson Camp mission....ugh

Other than the boot I'm having a lot of fun.

Re: The Division -- Xbox One/PS4 -- March 8th, 2016

Well one thing I discovered last night is the matching making (character level) is weird....or at least what we encounted last night. I have a friend on my list that jumped into my game just to mess around and go exploring. I'm Level 6 and he's already Level 16. We came upon some Thugs in an alley and right away he said, "oh-oh"...before I knew it I was down. The "Yellow" AI was a Level 15....

So does the AI scale to the Player whose game it is or scale to the highest level player in the group? We talked about it and seemed whose ever game/party it is, everything should scale to him and those higher maybe get a penalty/reduction based on their level...but it wasn't that way last night. So maybe food for thought in case some start getting to far ahead and want to join a friend/group or several levels below.

Thanks, Ubisoft, for scheduling maintenance on the second day the game is out. Wasn't able to play at all.
