No interest for me since I still don't use a 4K monitor. 3080 is still perfectly fine for ultra-wide 2k with the games I play.
Thankfully, too. Last thing I need is a $2k item I feel the need to buy at launch. |

It's quite disappointing that everyone seems to be headed towards a push for more enhanced AI frame generation instead of, dare I say, optimizing games for native resolutions of 1440p or more ambitiously 4K. I get why it's extremely difficult, of course, but in my personal experience using a 4070 Ti Super (damn good card, but far enough from the raw performance of a 4090), I just don't like the way DLSS and other techs look. I can't describe it, but it's just not great to me.
More and more, it appears that the raw performance cap is being reached, so they're turning to frame gen to make up for it. |

The reason AI upscale and frame gen look weird is because, despite all the hype, you can still tell (or at least strongly suspect) it's an upscale. It's like the rare native 4K movies versus the typical 2K master. Both can look very good, but there's usually something "off" with the latter, even if you can't say for sure until someone who know for sure points it out. Obviously, it's far more extreme when it comes to the fiddling with game graphics.
And I certainly agree, it would be best if there were a push for actual game optimization, rather than essentially brute force "fixes" like AI upscaling and frame gen. |

It’s just that Activision has made “Call of Duty” a single application, but it’s modular, so you only really have to install the base app and specific game you want to play… which may be like 130gb :lol: still too fucking big. |

Their OS is ridiculously impressive, now if only some companies would ditch the shitty anti-cheat that breaks it. |

After watching a few videos and seems to be almost evenly split coming down to "Native is dead, Long Live Fake" to 'Say No to Fake, Long Live Native"....I would fall into the Native is Better catagory myself. I founf this guy who basically summed it up in simple terms as to the "Marketing Scam" which many are calling it. but seems a lot of gamers are embracing it. Why pay that much for something that gives you one REAL Frame to Four FAKE Frames is beyond me... |

For single player games, I'm completely in favor of frame generation, it works fine from what I've experienced.
For competitive or online FPS games, it would 100% need to be disabled though. |

Since I really haven't kept up with the latest on Video Cards and it seems like all the tave and talk is around the new Nvidia 50 Series....where does the AMD Cards stand?

The general consensus is that the Radeon RX 9000 series won't be as powerful as Nvidia's 5000 series.
TL;DR: AMD plans to release a new flagship Radeon GPU in 2026, succeeding the RDNA 3's Radeon RX 7900 XTX with a new flagship. With RDNA 4 launching in 2025, AMD will focus on mid-range GPUs, competing with NVIDIA's RTX 5070 series. I've found myself checking PC Build Sites...CLX, Cyberpower, IBuypower, Skytech and some others....is there a reason why like 80-85% of the PCs have Intel vs AMD CPU's. And seeing or finding one with a AMD GPU is almost impossible unless you do a custom. Almost all offer a 4070 to 4060 versions.

Intel chips are less desirable. I assume they're able to buy them in bulk for much cheaper. Makes the overall build seem like a better value.
