Well they've never done that with a Game Pass game before but with EA Access games, the only way to do it was on the phone app.

Disappointing that now that everyone has signed up for Game Pass they're making Game Pass staples their free GwG games .

Yeah, that's pretty shitty. Since I already redeemed GoW on gamepass (and packed away my physical copy), I had a hell of a time redeeming it for GWG. I had to finally go on the MS webpage and 'buy' it there for free.

Yeah, you can do that now. With previous EA Access games that went free with Gold (PvZ GW2 for example), you couldn't buy it on the website, only on the app.

Nice tribute and all, but I'd be worried that if the house was broken into by someone who loves to game - that would be one of things they found cool and would steal.
Throw the ashes in a basic urn and no one would be interested.

I agree. You keep complaining about it here, when obviously nobody here knows what the solution is. Did you try contacting Xbox tech support?

If your console is set to "Instant On" it should update automatically, as long as power isn't cut to the console for some reason.
Also, if you have an external drive with games on it you need to uncheck the "When Xbox is off, turn off storage" for them to update.

But if all settings are correct and it still isn't updating properly there might be a bug of some kind.

Wait, what's this?

We have an external drive and have to manually switch it off when we're done. Can the Xbox One S turn it off somehow when the system is off?

That's been in the settings for awhile. Screen should look similar to the image below.

That was already checked. I’m looking now and it looks like the drive has a separate power supply.

What do you guys do when you have a massive amount of updates to your games?

For example, the other day, my XBox said I had like 6 games that needed updates and this was like 30 to 60 gigs worth of updates for each game. This is like 7-8 hours worth of downloads/updates. Do you just let your XBox sit all day and night until the updates complete?

The problem with this also is that the downloading really bogs down my Internet and I cannot stream any video because the quality drops or becomes jerky because my connection bogged down for so many hours.

Sherlock Holmes Games Are Being Delisted From the Xbox Store

Frogwares has confirmed that its library of games are being delisted by publisher Focus Home Interactive, who are refusing to hand over the title IDs to the developer. Some of Frogwares' Sherlock Holmes games and Magrunner: Dark Pulse are the titles currently affected, with Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments the only game still listed.

That's set to end on 29th September, when Focus Home Interactive plans to take the game down from digital storefronts including the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam, and The Testament of Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper have already been removed.

Frogwares' more recent titles like The Sinking City and Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter aren't affected, as they're published by Bigben Interactive. In response to its games being removed from digital storefronts, Frogwares has released a statement on the matter, which you can read in full here.

"We are Frogwares, the developer of the Sherlock Holmes video games, and The Sinking City. We make detective games because it’s our passion, and because it allows us to live off it," the statement reads. "But today, that is under threat. Some of our games are being removed from Sony’s and Microsoft’s storefronts, and even maybe from Steam."

The statement goes on to offer an explanation: "Why? Because Focus Home Interactive, the licensee (or 'publisher') that was in charge of commercialising these games on these platforms, refuses to transfer the title IDs to us, the creators and IP owners of those titles, even though our Publishing and Distribution Agreement has expired."

This is apparently due to a policy revealed to Frogwares only last week that Focus has put in place, stating that it will not transfer any title ID or content ID to any developer "which has removed all of their games from the Focus catalogue". Frogwares notes that this policy wasn't in any contract it had with Focus.

"As the creators and IP owners of all those games, we have no control and no say in this. The decision of Focus Home left us voiceless," says Frogwares. "Right now, we are in a tough situation. We are preparing ourselves for a significant loss."

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments will be taken off the Xbox Store from 29th September, so until then, you can purchase it here. Frogwares states that it will be pursuing the issue, as it works to set up new store profiles to "rectify the situation".

At least all those games are retail releases so people can always play them. It's the digital only releases that get delisted that sucks.

I delete the games I don't intend on playing anytime soon.

So I guess this is the first year since the launch of XB1 that we are not getting a Forza game? I don't mind them taking a year off and having one next year with the launch of the new system, but it does feel a little empty without Forza

Re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

I am sure this has probably been asked and answered before but I did a search here and googled it and couldn't find an exact answer (probably didn't word it correctly) but I recently got a xbox live point card thru Microsoft rewards.

It automatically adding the 10 bucks to my xbox live account but said that it expires in 90 days or something like that. I already had a balance in there. If I use my balance to pay for something, does it pull from that new expiring balance first? Because my prior balance was paid for by me and there was no expiration for it.
