My father-in-law and his son spent Thanksgiving telling my wife how much better the PS4 is, and that we should buy one.

The highlights:

1080p vs 720p, PS4 just looks better on all games.

Xbox One controller sucks, PS4 controller has a cool blue light and the thumbsticks are lined up properly. Also, you can recharge them!

Robot game! Nuff said!

Xbox One costs $100 more, what the heck? (Then he mentions he paid $60 extra for his camera and Robots game).

Dude on Youtube was an Xbox fan and now he's straight PS4. That's all you need to know!

Xbox One's turn on and change the channel with voice. Whoop dee doo.

Seriously, that's what was discussed

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Anyone having Upload Studio issues? I can't seem to upload anything - either to the MS server or to my own Sky Drive. When I try the regular server, it renders (goes up to 50%) and then says to Please Try Again Later. When I tried to upload AND save to my Sky Drive, it tells me it can't connect to Sky Drive.

I've contacted Xbox support and they seem to have no solutions...just ran me through the uninstall/re-install and resetting the console issues. No issues with any other apps, just this one.

Am I the only one with this problem?

EDIT: MS had me try a factory re-set and THAT didn't work either - so I lost several days of achievements for no good reason.

I was window shopping at Target today and they brought out 5 xbox ones. 4 were gone in 15 minutes. I left the last one there. Second guessing now, but my plan is to wait until sometime next year for both systems

Lol. I was just relaying their babble. I love my Xbox. I wouldn't buy a PS4 if it was $99. I have no interest or need for it.

But I swear chess isn't my FIL

Maybe...they're not showing now, but maybe they'll pop up when I reinstall the games...anyway, customer service now wants me to go through a complex process of using a flash drive to reinstall the original update...I'm too worried it will brick the whole console - I might just live without the Update studio as everything else is working fine and I'm not sure I'd be uploading many clips anyway...of course, my concern is that MS will start incorporating that app into a lot of games or other features in the future.

You wouldn't pay $99 to have access all the Sony exclusives? Gimmie a break. And you guys call chess a raging fanboy.

I think we'd all be three console owners if they were all $99.

This. Sure I may lean Sony and the PS4, but I love games too much to not have bought an Xbox One as well.

Mine finally delivered yesterday, and am really looking forward to some DR3 and Ryse this weekend.

I'm sure it is a quick Google, but what is the difference between the Forza 5 Limited Edition and the Day One edition?

The Day One edition has the option to spend $500 to get the most out of it but the Limited Edition takes that all the way to $1k.

I may be wrong on that though.

I ordered my advanced replacement system Tuesday, and Microsoft finally sent me a e-mail Friday saying it had shipped. Of course then Gamestop calls me this morning letting me know they had received new units, and I could come in and swap out my defective one. I let them know they could go ahead and sell it since I already had one on the way. I'm still holding out hope Microsoft comes through with the free game.

I'm a big Xbox fan boy, I just don't post about it in the PS4 thread. And no, I don't care for the exclusives. I never cared for Ratchet, Uncharted, God of War, Killzone, Infamous, or The Last of Us.

Anyone having trouble with achievements popping? I still see them in my list but there's no notification. I have all notifications turned on, too.

So I was playing CoD Ghost campaign and while loading the next chapter, it froze, went black and gave me a message "Out of Memory - Error 27". WTF is that?

Anyone having handshaking issues? We could be watching a blu-ray on a separate player and the switch back on the audio receiver to the tv/xbox input and there won't be a picture. The xbox will say there is no signal. I have to fiddle with turning the directv receiver on/off to get a signal back. It's getting pretty annoying. That and it always has my wife signed in. I tell it to go to my settings but it just goes to her messages. I end up having to sign myself in manually and trying the thing to have it recognize me better.

I'm having trouble with BF4. I purchased a digital copy a few days ago. Now it says I don't own it even though its clearly there in my Transaction History on Xbox.com.

What can I do on a PS4 I can't do on an Xbox One?

Indie games?!? Well shit...

Anyway, has anyone had their system just kick them back to the dashboard? It's happened twice during NBA 2k14.

I wanted to be sure in case it was some Microsoft built in feature

EDIT: Wow, it did it twice in a row in a span of 2 minutes. Same game, too.

EDIT: Now three straight times.

I turned it off. The system felt as hot as it's ever been. We did watch a Blu-Ray about 2 hours ago but I turned it off for about an hour before I started my game. Went through a full game in career mode (about 20 minutes) with no problems. But now it drops out about 40 seconds into the game. Not 40 seconds after I insert the disc, but into the game being played.

Started playing Dead Rising 3 a couple days ago and I haven't noticed a single popup but then I check my notifications and there's a handful of achievements, even game clips recorded. All my notifications are on too.

I guess it's pretty common.

Oh and I tried playing NBA 2k14 again and it did the same thing. I'm basically unable to advance until they patch it.

I have not really had any issues with my Xbox, I guess I'm lucky. There is the occasional crash back to the Front End but that usually has to do with me suspending the game and turning off my system or something like that while using that beta feature. It works 9/10 though. All my achievements and game clips notify my correctly.

I assume you have deleted the game and any patches and re-installed? That may fix it.
