Not really. It's an online-only game. There's some sort of "Campaign" as they call it, but it's just a few audio cutscenes that play before a series of online matches. It can be completed in about an hour, but good luck understanding the story of the campaign you just "finished".

There are people in large robots who aren't going to kill themselves. You have to help.

The story was easy to understand.

And then you change to the other side for some reason...

(and to be completely accurate, sometimes when I'm in the giant robot suits, I'll have you know that I do kill myself!)

Their giant robot suits didn't match the color of my giant robot suit. That is all the reason one needs!

And sometimes I totally killed myself in them as well. Especially with the cluster missile.

"On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download #IDARB ($14.99 ERP) for free during the month of February."

Not sure what the hell IDARB is, but I guess I'll give it a shot since it's free

It's an acronym for "It Draws a Red Box," which is the very first thing the game could do. It's a "crowdsourced" game in that the developers take suggestions from the public on what the game should be/do, and incorporate the suggestions into the game.

Polygon has a brief overview of the game, although they get the acronym wrong:

Thanks for the info on this sale. I got UFC for $10 and NHL 15 for $24 bucks. I have been wanting these titles for awhile now. It's nice to get them both at a very discounted price.

Let me know if the firmware fixes your issue. I haven't had a chance to try it out, but Tom Warren at The Verge says his are still exhibiting the same issue, even after the upgrade.

I've had issues off and on for the past few days. Also, I'm still using 360 and it's even worse there. I had to do some rewiring to get both connected, but I don't think it's that because my internet tests generally work--it's just the Live connection. And sometimes I get the message saying it's their issue.

The official status page says there's issues with the core services.

I can't connect to anything online. I hate playing offline because I hate achievements that aren't time stamped. I know, pet peeve.

I was playing CoD earlier but the gun that comes with the new DLC wouldn't unlock right for me.

Then I couldn't connect at all later so just switched to Netflix on the Apple TV.

Still pretty frustrating.

That's not how it works on XB1. Achievements don't even unlock when you're offline. Any that you earned will unlock when you get online again, and they will have a timestamp.
