re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Is there a site that keeps up with the best and latest PS4 deals...like accessories, games, etc....? My subscription ends middle of next month so I need to start looking and keeping an eye for a PS Plus deal.

CAG (cheap ass gamer) is your best bet.

Most of us use www.cheapassgamer.com

I'll post here if I see any deals.

Your best bet might be to spend $100 in the PSN store and get $15 store credit back. There haven't been any sales on PS Plus in a while, as I recall. Was a nice $30 deal two BFs ago.

I'd recommend http://slickdeals.net/deals/games too. Because of the iconography they use too, it's easier to see XBL/PSN deals at a glance.

I still keep a close eye on CAG, but I can't help but think it's declined somewhat over the past couple of years.

Yeah, that was an awesome deal! I don't think I bought as many as you though Decker (think I bought 3). Though in hindsight I should have!

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Thanks and thanks for keeping an eye out. I bought a second shortly after I got the PS4 at launch so had two years off the bat. Shame as I see the XBL deals all the time...especially at Best Buy. Maybe with some of the great games coming some will pop up. I am with the Gamers Club at Best Buy and might go that route. Still have to do the COD pre-order as well.

Buzz, PSN deals definitely do not show up as often as deals for XBL. And when they do show up, they usually are not at the steep discounts XBL seems to get. Moral of the story, when you see a PSN deal (especially a good one) make sure you grab a bunch.

I bought too many! Seriously. I should be paid up until 2020 but their system wouldn't activate that last one so it says I'm only good through 2019. The CS reps have combed over my entire, unsortable transaction history (it took a LONG time) and agreed that yes, I'm paid up for one more year. Their advice is to just wait until then and it should automatically kick in. Until then I just have to wait and see.

Buzz, I had forgotten, but there was a $40 PS Plus deal at Best Buy this Summer. I wouldn't be surprised if they returned that on BF.

Yep..I'll take Goot's advice and grab a spare especially if it 's around $40 or less. Be nice if Sony gave some markdown in the Playstation Store for current owners. Hopefully the sales will pop out way before BF......

Yep, that's when I just extended mine. XBL cards hit $30 - $35 all of the time now, PS Plus deals rarely hit $40 anymore. How times have changed .

Who already mentioned that here? In any case, yes the remote seems to be at Gamestop but nowhere else yet.

Congratulations Gamestop, you've found a way to entice me into your store for the first time since you gave away TLoU PS4 for $25 at launch with PS3 version trade-in. I'll be picking up that remote after work today.

I mentioned in the "which console is a better media player?" thread that GameStop was selling it now, but I don't think it's come up in this thread, specifically, until now.

If you played the CoD Black Ops 3 Beta (or, apparently like me, if you downloaded the Beta but never got around to playing it), you get a free Dynamic PS4 Black Ops 3 Zombie Theme from PSN you can purchase here

I don't have that theme yet but it looks pretty cool...but I've decided I am getting COD over Star Wars....heck, even that 1940's style Zombie Mode looks like I'll get more time & fun out of it than SW:BF

Gotta say I like the Media remote. Easy to pair, responsive, turns the PS4 off or on. Sturdy and light and ergonomic.
I think it has IR for the TV, cable box and receiver.

blog.us.playstation.com/2015/10/08/universal-media-remote-for-ps4-releases-late-october

According to that, the universal remote isn't compatible with Hulu. That blows since Netflix and Hulu are the only two streaming apps I even use.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I've got a question about if you say get a New PS4, how can everything be moved from the current one over to it?

I'm thinking about the new PS4 COD Black Ops III bundle and then selling my current one (launch model) to a family member...just thinking about it....but if it's a real pain then forget about it. They would like to get a PS4 but just cannot afford it outright. I plan on getting COD anyway and like mine has the 1TB HD, don't need the Mono headset since I have a Skullcandy Plyr 1 HS and just keep that new controller and throw in one of the two I have.

It works with Hulu. I launched a program on Hulu with it last night. I can't tell you if FF worked because I didn't try it, but I'll check later. More apps are being added all the time, but I CAN assure you that you can launch the app, select a program and watch it as of today with the remote.

It's a lot easier now that they've increased the online storage.

1) Make sure you upload all your storage to the cloud. That's very important

2)Restore your console to factory settings. That will wipe the console clean and allow you to have another home console

3) Buy your new console and put in your PSN information

4) All your PSN purchases will appear on the new console in the Library tab. Prepare for days of downloading

5) You can then restore all your game saves from the cloud.

It's certainly do-able and a lot easier than it was on the PS3. I still don't know all the games I had on my original console before it died. Some I'll never remember I owned so I'll never download them again.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Is there a system to system transfer option if you had both consoles running and networked together? There was on PS3, and that was the best option if you had two working consoles. I know nothing about what PS4 offers in that regard though.
