Definitely not an exaggeration. Maybe 4-5 at most. When I get together with my FF team, I get it to the point where it says the battery is low in one sitting most nights. And we play around 4 hours at a time. Unless you can keep playing for an hour plus after it gives the low batt warning before actually dying. I charge the controller to full after each session. Could be a defect; I only have one so nothing to compare it to.

Didn't mean to come off as accusatory or anything.

My experience is generally about 6-7 hours before I get the notice and about an hour of life after the notice, and most of that time is in a game with heavy touchpad use (not sure if that makes a difference).

Maybe not exactly the "same thing"?
Joke's on you, PS4 would have retailed for $199 without the light.

Sony Confirms PlanetSide 2 PS4 Will be 1080p, Update Incoming

Hands-on time happening at E3

Sony has confirmed that PlanetSide 2 is set to run at 1080p with a "smooth" framerate on PS4, and promised hands-on time at E3.

The news comes from creative director Matt Higby, who made the comment during a PlanetSide 2 Twitch stream. He revealed the team is still optimising the MMO shooter for the new console, with bespoke UI and control mechanics all part of the process.

Looks like I got rid of Battlefield and Killzone at just the right time.

I think Warframe has really opened Sony's eyes to the potential of F2P, and I'm glad they gave PS2 some time for polish.

Yea...I traded BF4 in for Infamous and finished Killzone a week or so back. I haven't played Warframe in two weeks but I believe it surprised a lot of people and hopefully lite a fire under Sony on the potential they're missing on PS2. I just hope it comes out way before Destiny....June and July looks a bit thin and b perfect timing. Not unless The Last of Us comes out.I'm all in on this...

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I having a couple of problems with my PS4.

The first one is with OUTLAST. I got the game for free and I got the download notification when the WHISTLEBLOWER DLC came out. So when I finally got around to playing it today I get a message saying "This content cannot be selected at this time." When I fire up Outlast it says "New Game: Whistleblower" So I assume I have the game but when I go into the PS Store and look at Outlast it says purchased. When I look at the Whistleblower DLC it says $8.99. Do I need to purchase this even though I already own Outlast?

The second issue is with Hulu. After I watch something on Hulu and put my PS4 in Standby Mode and wake it later I get a notification that hulu could not upload saved data. When I click on it it says "Saved data with the same name was uploaded from another PS4. Do you want to overwrite this saved data?"

I tried the overwrite option to no effect. I tried deleting the Hulu app and associated files and reinstalling Hulu but cannot upload saved data always comes back.

I don't think I've been hacked. No money is missing from my wallet. No unrecognized downloads.

I remember looking around in the system Storage Management or Application Saved Data Management settings before the issue with Hulu started but can't figure out what I could have changed.

Any Ideas?

Whistleblower is paid DLC for a game you already own. You have to buy it separately. And remember the Terms of Service with PS Plus : You only own Outlast as long as you're an active pS Plus member -- if you let that lapse, you can't then play the game even if you bought your own DLC for the game.

I have the file upload error every time I turn on my PS4. Same as you described it, with every file.

I played some Infamous the other night and lost my picture after fiddling in the menu (changing audio settings between headphone & HT), changing HUD settings, daytime settings, etc. Simply rebooting the PS4 did nothing. Changed HDMI cables and got it back. Fooled in the menu again and it went out. Guess I better pony up for that extended warranty.

Even if the game is listed in the main menu? I would think there should be message saying I need to purchase the DLC instead of "this content cannot be selected at this time." My PS+ hasn't lapsed I'm good till 2018.

Yeah, I sprung for one. Figured it would pay for itself even if only one controller goes wonky in the next three years. You can buy it directly off the PSN store, but you have to buy it in the first 30 days and you have to then email proof of purchase to them via email.

Say what? I thought you had a year to buy the extended. Also, you have to email them proof of purchase? Wouldn't the day of activation on their end sorta prove that?

It says on the purchase plan that you may buy a PlayStation Protection Plan within 30 days of service, though they did sell me an Extended Warranty on my Vita long after that (but within a year of launch) when I called Customer Service at Sony about a problem I was having. Not really sure about that - it seems they try to upsell you an extended warranty when you call about a problem. They do insist in both cases for a proof of purchase. I don't know what they do if you can't find one -- there may be some sort of a work-around.

So I haven't had my PS4 on since the update. Is it better to wait it out for another patch? Are there that many people having problems?
