I posted this over on the Infamous topic but thought it might be a good read for current PS4 owners and those who might be on the fence. It's pretty good read especially for us who have played Infamous:Second Son, it's visually stunning and after reading this makes you wonder what's ahead PS4 game wise...

So they basically maxed out the PS4 resources for it, which makes sense considering how crazy far the draw distance is in the game. They also did an excellent job hiding the load/install times.

Maybe. I haven't given Killzone's multiplayer a fair chance, and I assume that's why people buy it.

As an aside, I was looking at Amazon's top 100 for 2014 list, and PS4 has 11 games on there. Not too shabby given the install base.

tried playstation now over wifi, pretty much unplayable

will try it with the lan cable plugged in and report back

they only have 19 games up right now, not that great of ones either

also it looks like they will have different pricing plans for however many days you want to rent a game

they had 1 day, 7 day, and 30 day options when i selected a game, obviously was free since its a beta but i wonder if they will keep that format and how much that shit will be

Well, I must say that "Playstation NOW" works pretty well, even over the shitty wifi connection in my basement where the PS3 is. I did see some slowdown and jitters, mostly during cutscenes where there's a lot of fast motion and changing scenery. Seemed fairly responsive too, although I'm not sure I'd want to play it in a game where timing was critical (like Gods of War).

What baffles me the most is why the beta is on PS3. The PS3 is already compatible with PS3 games.

Glad I have it pre-ordered from Gamestop. Can't wait until next month.


Also, looking forward to EA Sports UFC with the announcement today that Bruce Lee will be part of the game. I did post a thread about it here.

This also seems a little silly to me. I was looking forward to trying this service on my PS4 as this is where I'll use it if I ever do. I have my code so I guess I better fire up my PS3 and try it out.

Purely speculation, but I'd guess that they don't want to tarnish the brand on PS4 as they are ironing out any kinks.
