Re: Fallout 4

Awesome, I've been looking forward to that. Mods always seem to help Fallout games. For some reason I had assumed we would have mod support right out of the gate, and more than a few times I wished that I had gotten the PC version.

Re: Fallout 4

Is the DLC accessible after beating the game itself? I finally went back to the game after a long break and the DLC content does load up or give me new missions. I'm probably overlooking something, though.

Re: Fallout 4

Not going to lie, I don't like how the recent DLC makes you really work for it. Meaning even if you're at the right level, it can still be a bitch to enjoy.

Basically, you shouldn't have to work so hard to enjoy DLC after your purchase it - I don't mind too much as they were pretty cheap but still...

Far Harbor looks great though.

Re: Fallout 4

Just finished up the Robot mission. It was cool and entertaining but way too short. I probably played it not even 6-8 hours before I beat it. I played a few hours yesterday and a couple earlier this morning and it's done. I'm not interested in the cage fighting dlc one. I guess just gotta wait for Far Harbor next week.

Re: Fallout 4

Game is $28.00 on Amazon right now.....I'd like to get the Uncharted Collection before going to UC4 but $28 is a good deal.

Re: Fallout 4

Game is $29 at Target this week...might finally end up getting this. What's the average hours on completing this? Also do you really need that season pass....in other words worth it?

It's worth it. Far Harbor debuts in a couple of days.

25 hours if you streamline it for just the main story, about 75 hours if you do a bunch of side missions, platinuming it is about 145 hours.

Re: Fallout 4

I cannot even comprehend 75 hours much less 145. I guess there hasn't been any complaints that the game is "too short"....I did look on Target's site and it is showing $29 still. Shame because I belong to the BB gamer Club and they have it for $39 this week. Looks tempting. What is the season pass....$29.00?

The last time I did this I had to bring the add/flyer in and show it. Fallout is not in the weekly flyer but only listed on sale on the website.

Now BB lets you just show them the price on your phone on whatever website you are matching.

Re: Fallout 4

Well too late...I grabbed the last copy at the 3rd Target I hit today. And the weird part is they didn't have the sale price showing, you had to get someone to come over and scan it. Then take it to the service desk since the price was on the web site. No big deal but still a good buy at $29

Now I need some tips...not a walkthrough or anything but a few tips and maybe one or two "you must or really need to do ______". And I did not play the last one that came out so I'm a little new.

^I say go into it blind. That is the fun of the Fallout games. Finding your own way.

I only look up something if I am stuck in a section. Otherwise, my only tip is to explore, explore, and explore.

Re: Fallout 4

I found this on Gamesradar that has an article called "15 Things I Wished I Knew Before Playing Fallout 4"....... http://www.gamesradar.com/fallout-4-tips/

That was a good read and some useful stuff. On the collecting stuff, is there like a limit of the amount and items you can stash? I assume what you don't break down and use there is a way to sell (and trade)?

But as spiderbite mentioned...seems like the name of the game is explore, collect, craft, build, maintain.....rinse and repeat

The single player story is no that long at all but..........it really sucks. Starts off fantastic then just takes a shit not even halfway through.

The game is praised because of its side missions and attention to detail. The graphics (even with the recent upgrade) do pull you out of the game a bit and like others have mentioned....they need to step it up in the visual department for their next outing.....and the high number of dialogue choices without question need to come back but overall the game is in a league of its own.

Horrible article. It's mostly telling you to do a bunch of crafting/modding/settlement bullshit, which for me, are the worst, most tedious parts of the game.

Far Harbor is a 5 GB download. I'll probably play it later on today at some point.

I hate ALL of that shit, and it's kind of why I've been hesitant to jump back in (in addition to focusing on other games). It seems like the only way to get a decent weapon is to craft/mod one, but... ugh.

Some stuff I wish I'd known early on. You should absolutely unlock idiot savant as early as possible.
