Re: Fallout 4
Finally figured out how to refill the power armor with fusion cores. Reloaded 4 at one time. As much as I want my character to be a good person and get her into some danger I also want cash and some trouble, too.

I can't get the thing to sync with my system. Even after I refresh and enable the setting on the game itself.

I am focusing 100% on the Strength perk until I get it to the top level of the first tier. I love being able to pick up as much stuff as possible to use/sell and I hate having to ditch stuff I might need later. LOVING the game overall so far. |

How exactly? I have the same "no power" message you had. Thanks.
Great metaphor on life. You have to stand behind the suit and just put the dot/cursor right on it's back and hit X, I believe. Your character dumps how ever many fusion cells you have into it and you're set. I hate that it doesn't automatically highlight it, though. |

Played all day. The "Silver Shroud" quest was fantastic! You'll see what I mean once you guys play it.

Re: Fallout 4
great game for listening to Spotify app on ps4 while you play. Just need to crank up the vocal volume (or pause the music during conversation). No offense to Diamond City radio, but Spotify has a better selection for hours of wandering through the wasteland.

Re: Fallout 4
Wow, great game (picked it up last night) - can tell I'm going to be playing this for a long time to come. I love the little details like being able to listen to music on your pip boy while walking around. When I started up the game a second time from powering on my xbox...the "please stand by" screen came up and instead of booting right to the menu it played a movie on charisma - loved it (and the clip was pretty damn funny).
Surprisingly, I got into the character creator (normally I just select the default) and I got him to look pretty much close to myself which gives me a good laugh - I used my real first name for the game and it freaked me out a little when Cosworth said it correctly. I did get a good laugh at how fast a guy arrives at your door offering you a place in the vault then 2 seconds later a nuke hits and you run into it in your backyard  but that's ok, I just took it as Bethesda speeding things up a bit. Yes bugs, a dead roach latched onto my ankle and was carrying him around for a bit - but like others have said, it doesn't bother me one bit, the detail in this game makes up for all of that - if this were a game like GTA V where the world isn't as big and there's not much to do....it would have stuck out more but it doesn't. I noticed you can "wait" while sitting down in areas, I'm curious to try this in certain areas to see if anything happens if you wait for a few hours or more - nice little touch. So far, this game is a 10 for me - I have no clue how to build yet and I suck at combat but I do love how fluid and fast moving your actions are. The game is just satisfying to play. Oh and how could I forget - the graphics, they're great! Yes, there not next gen spectacular but they're hell of a lot better then the 360 and look awesome. also, Bethesda made up for some of the graphical shortcomings by using those close zoom-in shots when you engage in conversation and certain tasks (you can break away from the view anytime you want as well and it won't break up the dialogue). The atmosphere is awesome. Ok, this is getting way too long. I'm just glad I actually did buy it. Wait, one last thing - People keep saying that finding one of the main guns in the game in the vault was a spoiler - bullshit, I looked everywhere before leaving and couldn't find it. |

Re: Fallout 4
Oh wait, I DID find the weapon in the vault....didn't know you needed that extra "Thing" to get it. Will be doing that soon ;)

I was in the middle of doing a main quest and received an alert that my settlement was under attack and by the time I got done with my quest it said I failed to protect the settlement. I'm not dropping out of an important quest to defend a rinky dinky settlement

Re: Fallout 4
Oh, and I also got laid in the game. It was with a woman named
Spoiler:
Of course when I went back for seconds and thirds the bitch rejected me. |
Re: Fallout 4
I feel like a dick for ignoring the main quest line. My son has been kidnapped and all I wanna do is build shit
It would be interesting if they implemented something where a companion scolds you for not focusing on saving your son. Or at the final quest your son has aged the amount of game time you've been away from him. |
Re: Fallout 4
I should also point out that Dogmeat has 200 rounds of Cryo ammo - I'm not sure how or when he got them, because I wasn't paying attention. Now if I could remember where I left the CryoGun itself then that would be awesome. haha
I'm also NOT doing the main quest right away. I'm doing misc and random shit just build up my character. |

I played a little bit, killed the Deathworm or whatever it's called. Took Dogmeat to the gun in the first vault and he wouldn't get the gun for me. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Fallout 4
A big complaint I have is the notification texts that pop up when you receive a new item. It shows up for a quick second I can never catch what it says. I have to go through all my menus to find what was added. Hope it gets fixed.

so far..level 16...loving it.

Re: Fallout 4
So what's everyone's favorite weapon at the moment? I'm still using The "Righteous Authority" Laser Rifle. It fills my critical meter up so freaking quick especially with the energy weapons bobble head I found. It was so powerful the game was way too easy at that point (was on Normal) I cranked it up to Hard. A bit more challenging now.
I also have most of my points into strength. Modded my Baseball bat with barbed wire and spikes on brass knuckles. I can now approach Super Mutants and knock their heads off with my fists  Am now at Level 15. Before this game I would say Witcher 3 is GOTY but FO4 is now a serious contender :) |

Also this website might help. www.fallouttracker.com It tells you what bobbleheads/magazaines/unique weapons you have, and if you don't it tells you where you can find them. Lots of potential for spoilers though |
Re: Fallout 4
I use the Righteous Authority and switch back to the scoped hunting rifle that has a bayonet attachment. Love the damage and range it causes.
I have only one bobble head and that one is the "perception" one, I believe. I'm also on level 20 something. Ran into a Savage Deathclaw. Looks like I will have to get stronger before I can knock him out. |

Re: Fallout 4
That's a cool cheat sheet but the only problem is that some of those items are probably in advanced safes. I was in Pickman Gallery and cleared it up but there was a safe there that was advanced, so there's no way for me to have opened it. According to that cheat sheet there's a bobblehead there.

Re: Fallout 4
I'm at level 13 with points mainly in Perception and Agility. Haven't used any companions other than DogMeat so far but he's pretty awesome.
Mainly using Righteous Authority with a long scope to snipe and for stronger enemies, but switch to a modded 10mm for smaller ones. I started out trying to clear the NW corner of the map, but decided to get going on the main quest which has been pretty good so far. |
Re: Fallout 4
I can't even get Dogmeat to go down into Vault 111 with me. I lead him to the platform, run over and hit the button. He's there with me as we're going down, but when I get to the bottom he's gone. Even if I tell him to stay. When I get back to the surface he reappears next to me.

Re: Fallout 4
New to FO. Level 7. Only decent weapon is short laser musket.
I can't seem to clear the enemies in that Corvega plant. Been all over it and I can't find anyone else to kill. Love to get it done cuz the frame rate in that building is brutal. Edit: Got it done. Missed a lower area. |
Re: Fallout 4
I'm currently running a semi-balanced character that trends higher on intelligence and charisma, but none of my specials are less than 3.
I'm considering doing a second run later as a survivalist freak, max my endurance and strength and go high-ish on agility, pick every perk that enhances my ability to survive (like lead belly) and just stumble my way through the game. |
Re: Fallout 4
Codsworth is a kick ass companion and can help you plow through some raiders. I took him with me to the satellite and he did some work in there for me.
|
Re: Fallout 4
Something I just figured out today. You can get your companion to wear... Power... Armor!!! So sick. You also don't need to use Fusions Cores to power it either. Not sure if it's perhaps just cosmetic or not yet, but it's pretty badass none-the-less.
|
Re: Fallout 4
I lost my power armor. :( I had the suit that I got from the museum. I went back to Sanctuary with it and dropped it off. When my game was loaded on a subsequent night, it was no where to be found. :(
Also, I wonder if my game is broken? I found a dog at the Red Rocket diner before I every went to Sanctuary after escaping the vault. It let me take him with me as a companion. But his name is simply Dog. I've seen people with a dog companion posting pics online and the dogs name (looks the same as mine) is Dogmeat. |
