Re: GTA Online Thread Of Law Abiding Citizens

I'm guessing you are asking for PS3 then, no idea on that, I also only have a bluetooth mic (the one that came with Warhawk) and that was hit or miss for the times I tried playing multiplayer on the PS3.

360 - just about anything.

Some information on Microtransactions:

Not sure how easy it will be to earn money in-game.

As long as the money dosen't lock us out of missions I'm okay with this. It'll be for people that want cool shit right out of the gate and don't wanna spend time earning it.

Re: GTA Online Thread Of Law Abiding Citizens

Since you can steal other players' cash, do the microtransactions mean that this is the first game where you can potentially rob someone of real money?
Spoiler:
I'm sure that money is "banked" and not robbable, but still a fun concept to think about.

Re: GTA Online Thread Of Law Abiding Citizens

I sure hope they plan on:
1. Making the casino and other gambling places accessible and usable.
2. Consider opening some of the other establishments already on the map like the 24 hour nude show place in the northern part of Los Santos.
3. Car hydraulics.

How can you have a game set in California and not have the option to put hydraulics on certain types of vehicles?

Strip Poker!

I imagine they're saving Casinos and gambling for Las Venturas.

Re: GTA Online Thread Of Law Abiding Citizens

So can randomns jump into our game? Like we complete a heist and on the way back another crew jumps in and steals our stash?

Unless you have 16 players locked in, it sounds like they can. It'll be a lot like Red Dead's multiplayer.

I sure hope not! I don't want any turd burglars jumping in with the only intention to be to piss off the others in the room.

Would only be real money if you could turn around and exchange them back into real dollars.

I'm not sure if you can rob people in World Of Warcraft, but I do believe that they have currency system that lets you cash out into real dollars. Second Life does as well, but no robbing there.

Not really on both of those, for World of Warcraft. Unless i'm misunderstanding.

Yeah, you can't sell gold for dollars in WoW. Well, not officially anyway.

Anyone gonna try to go online tomorrow? I have a feeling it's gonna be a disaster the first few days.

Definitely going to try, but I will probably give up easily if it's obviously broken.

Tomorrow? I'm hoping to try in 2 1/2 hours!

I did just read that you won't be able to get online until you download a small patch. So whenever that patch goes up, it's going to be madness!

EDIT: Nevermind. Apparently the update will be released at around 7AM Eastern, meaning it'll be a 9 1/2 hour wait. Oh well.

Re: GTA Online Thread Of Law Abiding Citizens

I don't have anything against multi-player at all but I just don't like having to take the time to get together with a crew and organize shit....that's why I joined a crew that just hangs out, smokes, weed, and goes out for the casual destructive romp - love how people create crews for lazy people like me.

I won't be able to join for a couple days. By then, y'all will have big houses in the hills and I'll still be turning tricks on Vinewood Blvd.

I'm stunned the update was so small. I expected something sizeable even when they kept insisting it would be reasonable.
As soon as it let me take control of the character I made the game locked up. Might give it one more try. I got up to feed the baby and I'm too tired to keep messing with something that is already not going so well.
