I think I'm gonna hit up GameStop and trade in some games for this (including CoD Ghosts for XO, and some Wii U games). I figure I will get a sweet deal on this game taking this route.

You could have traded CoD Ghosts for the XO at Best Buy last week for $45. Bummer you missed out on that. I was SO pissed I have the digital version of that game so I couldn't do that. Got my $45 for DR3 though.

You'll have a couple of promotions this week when trading toward Infamous SS:

1. Trade in value plus 30%, plus 10% if you're a member
2. $30 off with trade of just about any PS4/XB1 game

My instinct is that option 1 will be better, especially if you have other games to trade.

As mentioned earlier, I traded 4 PS3 games (3 of which I now have digitally from PS+) and a Wii game, and that added up to just over $50 with option 1 above.

Alternatively, you could buy it digitally for 59.99, and it will reportedly qualify for the "spend $60 get $10" promotion on PSN, which ends today.

Damn. Oh well, I am trying to cut back on BB purchases anyway. I think I can get around $30 at GameStop for Ghosts on XO, plus some Wii Games I don't want or play much after all, and the game should pay for itself, or at least almost. Getting rid of AC3, CoD Black Ops, Dark Siders II, and Scribblenauts Unlimited for the Wii U. After Titanfall, CoD feels like a dinosaur. I have AC4. AC3 bored me after a while; never wanted to finish it.

So I could trade in my CoD Ghosts at face value, then also get 40% credit (I am a member). I'm struggling with the math. What would that equal to? Or are you saying trade in the XO games along with the other titles I want to trade in.

So I just made all my trades at GameStop. Getting this game for free and still have a $10 credit. I'm a happy camper.

Mine just shipped from Amazon Prime. With a little luck, I'll get it tomorrow -- the PS4 and the XO were Friday releases that Amazon got to me on the day before. The Mrs and daughter are going to Divergent tomorrow night, so having that evening to myself to destroy Seattle would be nice. :fc:

I went thru my stack of games and I'm heading to B.B to trade tomorrow. I've been following this game since I got a PS4 but never played (or had a PS3) previous version. I haven't seen a article yet saying "don't buy this game or hold off". Good article at Games Radar....

One site gave it a 6 out of 10 citing great graphics but dull gameplay, this has been my experience with InFamous in the past so it is not surprising. But it's just so purrty.

I'm not surprised at some of the lower scores. Infamous isn't for everybody, and it can get repetitive if you aren't enjoying everything about it. The first two games were probably solid 8.5s for me, and this looks better in every way.

Has anyone else ordered the Collector's Edition from Amazon?

Mine shows an expected delivery date of 3/25. I'm a little paranoid that since this has been listed as unavailable for pre-order for a month or two (I ordered back in December) coupled with the fact that delivery date is after release date (what happened to release date delivery Amazon?) that for some reason the 25th might come and go and I have no copy.
This title was the primary reason I got the PS4.

Or could it be that Amazon only had a small amount available for pre-order and once those were all ordered they couldn't take any more.

I know others have had their Standard Edition shipped from Amazon and Best Buy, but has anyone received a shipping notice of their Collector's Edition from Amazon or anywhere else?

As much as I love the series, I couldn't swing the extra $20 for a beanie and some buttons. I'm WAY too old to be wearing stuff like that.

The SE of this game should have come with a lithograph or a statue.

I would bet that few around here are any older than I am. Then again, I AM hip enough to pull off the beanie look. Plus it will keep my bald head warm. :)

I had some Amazon credit, and there is some exclusive DLC for the Collector's edition in addition to the other baubles, and I liked the CE cover better.

And for what it's worth, I also picked up Infamous 2 Hero Edition with the messenger bag that I don't use. :P

That bag is awesome. I've brought mine to a few gaming conventions (PAX and PAX East) and I always see at least 4 or 5 other people carrying one around. :)

Just got back from B.B and got $47 for my trades...all going to Infamous. I got worried at first because the display for all the pre-order stuff out front didn't have a single one for Infamous but plenty for everything else. Went in the PS4 section...just two left! Looking forward to my first experience with the series and all indication I picked a good one.
