I should stop trying to make Fetch happen.

Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
I am a few hours in...just picked up my second power...
Game is amazing looking, and a lot of fun so far. I kind of think the two powers I got so far are basically the same powers with only slight differences. I also think the game follows open world 101 way to much. It would have been nice with a little more variety in clearing sections. Overall a solid game that just so happens to be the best looking console game I have ever seen. |
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
I'm enjoying it a lot. Almost at the same spot as fox, but I keep getting killed while trying to get that second power. It's a much harder game than the previous ones. Looks amazing.
I've tried that secret agent mission a dozen times, but he keeps dashing away. What am I doing wrong? I can't catch or kill him in time. The first time I tried the mission though, I was just paying attention to the face, not the clothes and killed a young black civilian who was just minding his own business because he looked a lot like the suspect. Nothing like a next gen video game to make you feel like a racist cop or George Zimmerman. I felt awful after that. (in my defense, it is the same face, just different color clothes). |
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
if you are having a difficult time getting neon you may be in for a long game with what is to come later
I'd suggest using shards to upgrade you power(s) ... something I didn't do till the end of the game re: the secret agents practice dashing and shooting at the same time and you'll catch em just don't let him get too far ahead of you .... best is when you can corner them by water but even out in the open you can shoot them down with a little practice |
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
The secret agents are a pain in the ass. I tend not to do them. There are plenty of less annoying ways to lower the DUP rating in a given area, and I don't care about 100%.
As for the first two powers, neon is easily better for getting around (especially when you unlock unlimited run), but smoke is significantly better for combat (especially after you unlock the power that lets insta-subdues enemies when you make a headshot). |

Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
I did the first Paper Trail mission, and linked the website to my account. I found the evidence from the crime scene and the website updated with new information. I looked at all the new info on the site, but when I went to the second mission in the game, it kept telling me to go back to the website to look at the info. Did anyone get this to work?

Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
How do you find the first paper trail mission in the game?
|
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
The secret agents are easy. Once you find them, throw a few missiles at them. Mission complete.

Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
Odd, because I haven't failed a single secret agent mission either. It seems like you just dash a lot and shoot between dashes or even better, get on a rooftop and snipe them before they even take off.
Also agree that neon makes combat easier than smoke with a basic shot that seems much more effective with head shots, but smoke has better missiles and is more fun IMO. The third power makes combat super easy. I'm really enjoying the evil path. For some reason, I'm less annoyed when I accidentally do something good, than I am when I'm good and accidentally do something bad. It's also more consistent from a narrative standpoint that a bad guy would do some good things if they were in his interest. |
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
From a narrative standpoint, why would your cop brother help you if you're a super-villian who kills hundreds of civilians?
|
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
The story in this one is sorely lacking in my opinion. I sure hope that they go all out on a better story if they make one more.

Somehow I'm less bothered by that sort of thing in cutscenes than I am during gameplay. I wish they'd ditched that whole thing and made him a misunderstood batman/Spider-Man type with a single story arc. |
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
Make it more of a one man investigative type game instead of his brother chiming in from time to time. They could have still had his brother in it and be a cop but....
Spoiler:
This would leave it up to you to enter the city, find out what is going on and take care of business without having a story element that doesn't make sense. |

Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
I'm enjoying the evil playthrough even more than my first playthrough. The expert difficulty isn't very hard at all. I actually died way more on the normal setting. Of course it helps that I know exactly how to do everything now. But even knowing that, it's awesome how the gameplay really does feel different depending on what side your on.
For instance, the smoke power is much more effective on the evil side. I don't even want to touch neon now, even though I used it on almost 90% of my good playthrough. You lose some key elements of it when you don't have good karma. I'm curious to see how effective the evil 3rd power is like Chess said. I thought it was terrible on the good side. Also the story/cinematic with Fetch is COMPLETELY different depending in which side you choose. I was just going to blast through the game just to finish up the trophies, but I find myself doing all the little side quests and collectibles all over again and it's still just as fun as the first time. |
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
Hmm I had a much easier time getting the neon power while playing againth is morning. Maybe I was just too tired last night. Anyway it sure takes a long time to finish up that mission. It took me a while to figure out that I was supposed to track down her markings. I must be a little dense. Will go back to the Secret Agent missions after the KU game and see if it's easier now with neon power.

Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
Just curious is everyone taking down each sector all the way to 0% before moving on or just getting it down enough (under 35%)?
Not sure if this has been posted but here is list of all the Trophy's per IGN...(Caution - there are links there for the walkthru which I'm ignoring) http://www.gamerfuzion.com/infamous-...gh-wiki-guide/ |
Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
I am really enjoying this game but finding some parts of it extremely repetitive. I understand the "need" to do graffiti around town but the developers could have mixed up the animations a bit and maybe even add a few different things to do during different stencil arts. It just seems like I am moving from area to area and cleaning them out with a bit of a story attached.

Re: inFAMOUS Second Son (3/21/2014)
Neon is a little more precise for good, but when you get the power that lets you auto-subdue enemies with a headshot, smoke wins out. Also you can throw those smoke bombs that make everyone susceptible to being subdued and smoke rush over and subdue all of them before they even get a shot off. So much quicker than neon.
