I'd always rather have the physical media... not only to sell / loan but I'm more concerned that my hard drive is going to be jammed in less than two years and the cycle life of this console is probably going to be 8+ years.

Of course, it'll need to be on your HDD either way (though I suppose it's easier to delete/re-install with a physical copy).
In either case, if/when we are able to use an external HDD, it won't much matter. We shall see...

I was under the impression (probably wrongly) that only a good portion was on the HDD when you owned the physical copy. If it really is all of the game, then my theory is out the window... aside that I could lend or sell the game.

The games run completely from the hard drive. Disc is used only to install and authenticate that you have a legitimate copy.

One thing I saw that looks badass, is if you have a titan ready, but not called, and you die, you can respawn in the titan.
