For more highly in-depth videogame discussions than we could ever have here, I'd recommend neogaf.
Here's their official Prey thread, with more info than you'll know what to do with.
And it looks like the "how long to beat" aggregate puts the length at around 12 to 22 hours, depending on your play style.

I was kinda hoping to see how long he was going to beg for answers in this thread when he could easily in 5 seconds on google answer all his own questions.

Same. Been checking back in on this every so often to see who bit first.
Game's good. According to Steam, I'm 23 hours in, and I honestly have no idea how close to being finished I am. I'm basically just exploring the station at this point, completing quests as they come in. However, the combat is only so-so, and I think the Gloo Cannon, as cool as it is, is kind of overrated and not super useful the more powers you unlock.

I'm in the 20-25 hour range also and my big gripe about the game so far is the loading. I would guess no joke an hour or two of my playtime is loading screens. Everytime you go from one area to another there is a 1-2 minute loading screen. The game has no fast travel so sometimes you have to go through multiple areas to get to the area you want to get to and it gets unbearable. It takes me less time to move through the levels then the length of the loading screen.

Re: Prey (2017)
I'm on ps4. This morning I got up took a piss and came back and it was still loading. It's usually like a minute on the screen with the loading bar and then another 20 seconds on the next screen before you can press x.

So, does the full game leave you where you left off from demo?

Re: Prey (2017)
So, I got the full game, discounted through Amazon credits and such.
Only played a bit today. I think I'm liking it. Haven't got past the demo portion yet, but it really creates a sense of dread in the beginning and those mimics are with no patterns. They just attack at will and I have no idea where they are coming from or how I get hit, kinda dislike that a little, but still fast and heart pounding. And there copying inanimate objects technique is so unique.
Love exploring.
Can't imagine what's in store and what crazy enemies lie ahead, but think it will be cool...

I've played roughly 29 hours of this and it's run like a dream until today. Over the last two hours, it's crashed three times. I'm on the final mission and I just want to be done already.

Re: Prey (2017)
Ok, so need a little stupid help. I know you can get it very early (found in demo), but where the hell is the shotgun? I want to GLOO then blast those walking beasties. Also, how do you get more GLOO? Nothing seems to drop it or other corpses have it? Do you have to make it and can you do that early on? Thanks.

One of the main things you do in the game is recycle items and fabricate items. It's explained to you early and in great detail. You find the machines all over and the items all over. It's used in major plot points throughout the story.
I honestly have no clue how you managed to turn your console on to play games in the first place without posting here and asking us for directions.
