Re: Watch Dogs

The description of the side missions (mechanical spiders, demon killing rampage, etc) has me considerably less excited about this game.

Re: Watch Dogs

Optional side missions have you considerably less excited about the game? You could, you know, skip them. Then you'd be just as excited as before, I suppose.

Re: Watch Dogs

They have me excited. Silly? Sure, but at least it'll give it some variety.

I agree. I think it adds a level of silliness that wasn't totally evident before, but if it's completely skippable, just... skip it.

Sure, how could I not be excited about making the game shorter by skipping the side missions, right?

Re: Watch Dogs

So maybe there are comedic undertones in the game, I hope so, I hate it when games take themselves so damn seriously - either unintentionally funny (Heavy Rain) or intentionally funny works - otherwise they tend to get boring fast, especially if the gameplay isn't up to snuff (looking at you Last of Us).

Re: Watch Dogs

From what I've seen in early preview reviews, the spider side mission is fun.

Re: Watch Dogs

That mulitplayer video (and thanks for posting it again as not all of us follow threads page by page) was really cool - not a fan of looking like the main protag though??? Not sure what the thought process was there or were they too lazy to make a customized character system?

Looks pretty good.

Re: Watch Dogs

Watch Dogs' PlayStation Missions Are Only Timed Exclusive
http://www.gamingunion.net/news/1078...med-exclusive/

"According to the information posted by PlayStation.com, the content will also be available on PC. At the moment, it's unclear if this means that the content will be available on other platforms at a later date, or if it will remain exclusive on PS3, PS4 and PC."
further, Sony confirms the dualshockers info above that the Xbox One version will be virtually unplayable (in comparison to the PS4):

"The world of Watch Dogs comes alive on PS4 with the best graphics on any console and exclusive missions found only on PlayStation. Hack everything as you make your way through Chicago’s underground as you experience Watch_Dogs in a way that only PS4 can provide, at 60 Frames Per Second in 1080p"

Re: Watch Dogs

I still haven't pre-orderd this but more and more am leaning that way. I've got Wolfenstein on P.O and they're saying it's a good 20hrs. Watch Dogs I figure can be at least or even more than that. But with B.B throwing in a $20 cert it's almost a no-brainer and this will be one fine looking game (PS4). I'm still in awe with Infamous after a month with it.

UPDATE: Sony removed the last bit of that sentence (stricken out above as a visual guide for those who don't understand). Clearly BOTH versions are virtually unplayable.

Re: Watch Dogs

After reading this news, I immediately threw away my Xbox One.

Unless the PS4 version is noticeably better, I'm sticking with Xbone.

I've already pre-ordered both Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs, but my goal is to beat Wolfenstein under a week and trade it in when I pick up Watch Dogs. And hey, I'll also get into the Doom beta!

Between the $30 in RZ certificates I'll get between the two games and the $35 (give or take) I'll get back for trading in Wolfenstein, I'll have enough to get Advanced Warfare!

Re: Watch Dogs

I'm just worried that when E3 comes Sony will unveal some good stuff which might come early or mid June. One reason why I was hoping The Last of Us was June but since as rumor has it August 12th or so. Wolfenstein I think won't be a quick, beat and done game...since the devs said it could be 20 hrs.
As to the $20 gift certs from Best Buy I was told they go out about two weeks after you pick up the game.
