What a shame. Working downtown, one of the highlights of my lunch hour is watching the parade of ladies strolling on by while I sit outside enjoying the "view".

Especially at this time of year when it just starts to get warm as the ladies are itching to shed their winter skins.

Run after them and press B to tackle? That's what I've been doing.

Re: Watch Dogs

i just had a funny experience. cops were chasing me, so i jumped on a train. rather than give up, the cops were driving on the railroad tracks to try and catch me. i was looking out the back window of the train watching them get stuck on the tracks.

Fun Fact: if you get all your tires shot out you can drive faster on the tracks than on the road.

Really disappointing downgrade. It's not just the graphical effects, but the whole moody atmosphere of the game seems to have been stripped away.

I'll probably wait for this one to go on sale. Thanks for info about AC4 deal, I'm going to buy that instead.
Sheesh. What the hell happened?

Re: Watch Dogs

my guess is what changed is the game got bigger and more ambitious, and they had to devote less resources to graphics.

Re: Watch Dogs

Just so I'm not missing anything...you can't start conversations with random people, right? You basically have to wait for others to interact with you (pre-selected by the game). I've tried talking to strangers and they just accuse me of bumping into them.

It's been a while since I played GTA IV (I never did get GTA 5), but I remember that being a lot more fun the first few days. Of course, I haven't played this one enough yet to make a firm decision.

Re: Watch Dogs

I love this game.

I keep sinking time into this and I can't stop. I still have only done 6 main missions, but I have put in maybe 15 hours into this already. Even the online stuff, outside some glitches, is fun as hell. The thrill of hiding and hacking a player as he searches for your is way more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Hell even the online races are fun.

I did not finish Infamous because I just got tired of it, but I have already put more time into this game than that. I can't put my finger on it but everything just feels alive to me.

Re: Watch Dogs

The cop chases are making very difficult to enjoy this game. The cop chases in GTA IV weren't nearly this fucking annoying.

There's a lot of fun to be had in just hacking people's phones who don't have anything to offer you, and just listening to their conversations.

I'm paraphrasing here, but this is one of the calls I hacked:

Dude 1: "Man, this chick called and said I got her pregnant! But I only had sex with her once, unprotected...by her request"
Dude 2: "Ohhh man now what you gonna do?"
Dude 1: " Well, I just told her we had sex 2 days ago, there's no way it could be mine. She wouldn't know that fast"
Dude 2: "Yeah well, ummmm wait, chicks don't know right away?"

Also, some of the apartments you hack into have some crazy stuff, like one dude asking a woman to move in with him. Make sure you look at the woman with your phone to see why it's so crazy.

They did put in a lot of funny tidbits to find while hacking. Not quite as in your face as the stuff in GTA, but very well done.

Second Son's map is significantly smaller, it only seems bigger because they made the decision to make only one way to cross from one island to the other. So if you don't use fast travel, it can take a while to get from one point on the first island to one on the second. Plus, While it looked really good, I felt the map was pretty repetitive in terms of how it looked. The Watch Dogs map has a good deal of variety to it, probably too much to accurately represent Chicago.

Re: Watch Dogs

Watch Dogs also came out for last-gen consoles, didn't it? That means it's designed with last-gen in mind and not fully next-gen. Second Son is fully next-gen. That's another reason the graphics are better in Second Son.

Re: Watch Dogs

This game is pretty cool. Put a few hours in but only did two story missions. It does feel overwhelming the amount of stuff to do. I love the coin rush mini game. The other Mini Games look pretty cool too.

Re: Watch Dogs

These things that would make this game better than what it already is:
1. Better controls and movement while on foot.
2. Better car handling and damage effects. This is no better than the first couple of True Crime games on the PS2.
3. Better lip syncing to the audio when in cuts scenes and random conversations.

The graphics are actually pretty good and I am playing on the PS4. However, I would like to see the next game in the series be built for the newest consoles and PC like they are now going to do with the AC series.

Re: Watch Dogs

The fail states are my one complaint. Nothing annoys me more than a game over /restart screen on missions.

Suck less? I get the fail screen, but not sure what you really mean, I mean, what would you want instead?

Also, I figured your biggest complaint would be having to hit B to climb a ladder...

The "You're spotted. You lose. And now here is a loading screen for like two minutes."

If a game has a fail state it ought to be fast. Mission failed. Hit A to retry.

And yeah, the hitting a button to climb a ladder is also dumb.

Yeah, the loading is pretty bad... my game now refuses to load when I quit to the main menu.

Re: Watch Dogs

how come I am no longer able to do online hacking or be hacked online?

I have the following message that wasn't there before that I don't know what to do or how to get rid of ..... "complete online contracts introduction to unlock"

Re: Watch Dogs

You guys suck if you can't escape the cops. A couple traffic lights and a steam pipe and it's over. Takes like 2-5 minutes and sometimes less.

Oh and I noticed the phone hack conversations eventually start repeating. That kind of sucks.

Re: Watch Dogs

I wouldn't mind all of the driving if it wasn't terrible. I still get away from the cops most of the time but it feels like you are driving on dish soap.

You have to progress to a certain point in the story to unlock it (2 of the modes I believe).

so even if I had the ability before it is taken away?
why does the online stuff relate in any way to where you are in the story?
