Yeah, I definitely use the "hide buildings and decorations" trick, but I find it much less useful in KL with all the NPCs wandering around.

Ugh, this new post-police
Spoiler:
Code Brown
quest uses four KL characters. Fortunately I had them all free, but then I got confused and started assigning them in Springfield instead of going back to KL first. I was able to free up a couple, but at least one is not in a building and therefore not un-task-able. :brickwl2:

LOL! Yeah, we need to start using Microsoft Project, or at least Excel, to manage all the time from our characters.

Anyone else experiencing a lot of crashes today? You know, more than usual?

Mine crashes 2 times each time I play, after that it seems fine.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Definitely a lot more crashes lately. I've taken to immediately tapping up all the money and XP to make sure I get it in case the game crashes on me while a big pile of it is sitting above the house farm waiting for an automatic collection.

Which leads me to this question that I've wondered for a while: when is cash and XP actually collected? As soon as you tap it off the buildings and people? Only when it's tapped or automatically collected? I wonder because I play on my phone and every once in a while I get a phone call while I've got a bunch of money sitting there and I wonder if it's all lost because of that. I keep meaning to stage a test somehow, like take note of my bank, purposefully have a bunch of uncollected money, and then call my phone from my wife's phone to find out.

I think it autocollects even if you leave the game (not sure about crashes). As an experiment, I tapped on a house, then jumped over to KL. When I got to KL, my XP reflected the XP from the house.

This afternoon, I got a random quest to make Moe water down beer, so that's what he's doing until lunch time tomorrow. And now, wouldn't you know it, guess who I need to trigger the next quest in the Unusual Suspects storyline. D'oh!

I get crashes all the time. There have been times where I've had to recollect things that I collected a few minutes before the crash. I've also had it crash after going through a quest dialogue and I have to go through the dialogue again. I don't know how game progress is saved but it's pretty annoying.

About once or twice a day I have to log in on my Iphone 4. It keeps signing my out for some reason. I only play on my Iphone so its not like I am playing on different devices.

It should autocollect. E.g., I can tap on a neighbor's houses and immediately leave to find another neighbor and it will collect even if I haven't tapped on them. Crashes are another matter--I don't think we lose anything, but I know I've had to go back and retap things that I had tapped before the crash.

I've resigned myself to leaving some money/tickets on the table this morning. I've had police, Sky Sphere, and KL quests all ending within a few hours of each other, and rather than (1) tying someone up when I might need them or (2) spending the time to optimize my tasks for each window before the next quest ends, I've decided to just fill like a two-hour slot with one-hour tasks, or even no tasks at all. Too many characters, not enough time on a weekday.

 I got that one started last night.. I'm about halfway through it....
Spoiler:
I had all my characters free, so I could get them into it... There's more than 20 that can be sent to prison. I think 22 or 23.

I had almost everyone free as well, though I had assigned some of them to KL tasks. Fortunately they were short other than one four-hour task, but since I have 21 people currently in the slammer and only 20 are required for the task, I think I'll leave him out to earn tickets--I'll need SOMEBODY to do that.

I generally sync all my characters to end at the same time as the current quest because I never know who will be needed. I didn't know that this time it would be all of them.

Yeah..I'm in a holding pattern for the next 11 hours. Since so many got sent to the slammer.. I put the remaining residents on 24 hour tasks as well. Might as well have everyone free at the same time for the next tasks.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The frustrating thing is I'm also in a holding pattern trying to build up enough tickets for my next KL quest, and now I have a lot fewer characters to do that. :(

That one took a bit of a back seat for me. I'm at about 7400 tickets. I need 10000 for the haunted house. I'm still getting tickets from the attractions I already have, the random park guests, and the balloon popping game.

The good news is that it was easy to catch Sideshow Bob because the streets were totally clear.

Anyone get any donuts from the balloon popping game? I think it's rigged like a real carnival game.

Nope, and I've been a steady loser at Springfield Downs after an early win with the 99-1 dog.

And its going to be that way for a little bit. ;)

After the Crackdown pt 2 quest,
Spoiler:
where you send adults to prison for 24 hour. The next part you send 6 kids to prison for 24 hours. I really hate 24 hour tasks, especially when mulitple characters are required...

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

My best balloon was for 50 tickets, just one time.

I earned just enough tickets to start my next KL attraction so I went from 20,004 tickets to 4. Then I had to earn another 250 to acquire some more real estate so said attraction wasn't piled on top of other things.

i've got 50 tickets a bunch of times. probably at least 5, maybe closer to ten.
