Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Yep, that follows the order of what I have done.

And that looks like a gigantic pain in the ass.

It still seems better than waiting six days between Squidport stages, though I guess in that case at least we were getting new buildings. :) |
Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Interesting. I guess I am progressing with Wolfcastle. Just don't recall that many other people in the game getting mission quests for another character.
|
Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Sweet! On the basis of a random number generated by the app, I just won $200k at the dog track. Which puts me within spitting distance of Wolfcastle's mansion -- I'll probably be able to start construction tomorrow morning.

Finally managed to get the Homer Buddha trick to work. Though I didn't get anything good yet. Tried 5 times. Saw a dumpster, bench, mystery box, tree, and another bench. Was happening for a good premium item like a building of character. Will try more tomorrow.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I pretty much only get 60 donuts these days. I don't think I have seen 150 donuts in 2-3 weeks now. Feels like EA may have done some tweaking to hurt the glitch a bit.

It's annoying to involve a lot of other characters because it's too easy to set them on long-running tasks then discover you need them to progress. While I usually like to let the game develop, I admit I took a cheat-peek at the task list above just so I would know who to leave free. Who wants to continually set 25 different characters on short-running tasks just in case you need them?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I do get a kick out of going to someone's town, and then seeing 15 different characters come pouring out the Kwik-E-Mart.

this is why i always try to put everyone on the same time tasks. that way everyone is done together. obviously, sometimes that isn't completely possible, but i try to keep that way on purpose.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I live by the same task length as well.
There's a trick to stopping someone's task though if you need them free in order to move on with a quest. Move the building that unlocked the character into storage and then place it back and the character will be taskless. |
Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Yeah, I line up my characters as much as possible, but as has been said sometime side quests etc. throw that off, or sometimes I just don't have time to reassign everyone at once then things get off. The tricky part is the eight-hour task for Rex Banner because it involves Flanders (one of my favorite animations, by the way ), and if I space and assign Flanders first, then I'm stuck with four or 12 hours for Rex. Or sometimes I don't have the right buildings (e.g., I have no four-hour task for Ralph Wiggum).
Wolfcastle is nearly done at El Chemistri so I took another look at the quest list above to see what's next, and that's just one long-ass list. Thanks to Raul3 for posting it. |
Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
BOOM! I hit the race again. Now I'm back up to just shy of $600k.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I thought I had the Buddha timing down, but now I just bought a planter and a mystery box with cash in it. Trying to build up to buy Lincoln.

The other day, though, I assigned somebody to a "Drink at Moe's" task that I wanted him out of and put Moe's in my inventory, forgetting that Marge was in the middle of a 24-hour task as part of Herman's quest. That was irritating.

If you put Flanders on the Emergency Bible Studies task you should just put the house in inventory and place it again. I'll usually do the inventory trick if I make a mistake assigning tasks (as long as the associated building doesn't earn money / earns money quickly).

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
My Mystery Box gave me a Homer Buddha so I decided to give another try at the power off trick and long story short, I have way more picket fences than I could ever possibly use.
