Are you sure it was the last time? He does it more than once. There are 13 total quests.

Definitely the final time. Pt 13

The bell is actually another quest ("Place the liberty bell") triggered by Apu, so if you immediately put him on another task, you'll need to wait for him to free up before it will trigger.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Ah ha! Well it's a 24 hr task so hopefully I can still get the bell. Thanks!

Put the Kwik-E-Mart into storage and then place it again, should free up Apu.

I also finished the Lincoln and 4th of July missions.

Getting close to 2 million in cash. I want to keep a reserve, but not sure if it should be 1 million, 1.5 or 2.

There's still a lot of land to buy, specially now with the Squidport update.

And I just can't seem to save anything!

Did get my Liberty Bell though . . .

I'm sitting on like 4.5 million dollars. I don't really need to buy real estate or water right now. At some point I'll have to give up and either buy that acreage or a magnifying glass. :)

Yeah, I've taken to giving my characters a bit of breathing room before starting them on their next task because a new dialogue/assignment often takes a few seconds to kick in. Fortunately I tend to assign a lot of my characters to the same-length tasks so I can go around finishing everyone and hope that tasks will start during that process.

I'm currently at about 6.5 million and debating on buying the Popsicle Stick Tower and the Escalator To Nowhere. I'm keeping track of my money today to see how much I make in a day to see if it would hurt me at all. Looking like around 175k a day with my 8hr morning/4hr evening/12hr overnight tasks.

Approaching 10 million and I own all the land and all the million+ doller items. I wish we could have a bank so I could spread my money around.

That bell was a lot of work, kind of a letdown.

Looks like they've extended the Lincoln 4th of July promo until July 25th.

I just got that notice in my game. Was a pretty funny way of making the announcement.

Too bad there isn't a deal on donuts, I might have been tempted to buy enough to get Lincoln. Maybe they will have one between now and the 25th.

Added the three people who asked to be added in my absence to the OP.

I got the Liberty Bell last night so wow, that was just in time, huh?!

I play this damn game twice a day and I didn't get anywhere close to getting the Liberty Bell.

Only just completed the Banner interrogates Flanders for the first time.

Damn.

Agreed. I got the bell and finished a Squidport leg within an hour of each other and it was not nearly as exciting as I expected. I don't really know what I was expecting, but the multiple long legs ended up seeming like time-killers, which I guess is what they are. Maybe the storyline wasn't as interesting as usual or something. But the final payoff was a bell that may or may not do anything and the chance to being building Mostly Muffins.

I didn't get around to looking into that one so I guess I'm glad for the extension, though I'd need to procure more donuts. Must be a good seller for them to extend it, but then the buildings with characters are really the big acquisitions in this game.

Anybody else playing on an iPad 1? I've always had problems with the lottery scratcher causing a crash to desktop, but lately it's been horrific. Up until earlier this week, usually a reboot took care of things. Over the last 4-5 days, though, I keep getting caught in an endless loop where I would crash in the lottery scratcher, then every time I would boot the game, it would immediately crash again. I keep having to borrow my wife's Android and play the scratcher there.

I'm on an iPad 2 and had problems with the game crashing when doing scratchers, but it seems to have gotten better lately.
The game has lost some of the recent taps a few times with this so I've been going to the world map then back to my Springfield to synchronize the game state before doing the Scratch-R.

I'll give both of those tips a try. Thanks!

I spent all of my money again. I am even worse at my Tapped Out cash than the cash in my wallet. It's like my real life budgeting gets better as my Tapped Out budgeting gets worse. Hmm, I'll take that trade off!
