Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Don't craft any spooky walls or human test subjects. One of each might be fine but when you do it takes away from what you have toward the bigger items like the Grand Pumpkin. Accumulate these walls and test subjects at the end.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I have a pumpkin from last year, but yeah, check all the prizes and decide what you want. The wall is the easiest one but it will take away items from the other prizes.

I decided to go for Hugo.

How many times does the send kids trick or treating mission repeeat? I'll bet I've done it a dozen times and it keeps happening, with no other missions popping up.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Just as I thought i was done with the Simpsons they pull me back in with that ghostly Mr. Burns... I MUST HAVE HIM!

I have sent invites to a couple people on here, if anybody wants to add me it is "pheisey"

My 3rd and final Spuckler has finally been born, so now I can have Brandine fight terrorists which is one of the best animations in the game.

I do have a question, if I purchase the drive in with that Blob, does that help me at all with this Halloween candy quest?

That makes sense. I just haven't found any kind of indicator that tells me when I can't earn any more probes from visit. They just... stop.

Same here. As far as missions, one of the blog sites said
Spoiler:
there are others tied to future calendar dates

Another good question. There was the mission tied to level 5, but nothing really happened, and it's still just constantly asking to be upgraded.

No, but it's still a cool building. It's like the TV and radio station where you can assign the building tasks, except with this one you can actually see what it's doing.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I think you get a max of 90 probes a day from visiting neighbors. 3 probes per neighbor so 30 neighbors. I think crafting the weapons just gives you a larger field when you squish aliens so you don't have to be as close when you tap.

The limit on probes is going to make getting the last item on the rotating prize list very tight without using donuts.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

BTW - I'm going thru my friends list again to find folks who have been inactive for a long time (2-3 weeks or longer). I'm deleting them, but then immediately sending them a new friend request. That way, they won't take up space in my game if they're truly inactive, and can add themselves back in when they return to the game. I did this a while ago as well, so if you're on this list, you have a friend request pending.

Here are all of my pending requests...

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

So there appears to be no benefit to the neighbors you visit unless you drop the gremlins on them?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Well, no /extra/ benefit, beyond earning FP toward an award OR getting the random donut if you've collected all of the FP awards.

But that's as of right now. Don't forget that the Halloween event has three 12-day phases. We won't know what's up with neighbors for Phase 2 or 3 until we get there.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

My rebuild is coming along nicely, gotta lot of things laid out just how I want them. Other buildings just plopped down for now. Just got the mutant peacock no-prize. Opinions welcome, dfin25224.

EDIT: Anybody bought the Rigellian Hunters License yet and was it worth it?

Is the Kang flying saucer in my city supposed to do something?

Heh, that's Kodos in the saucer. If she's flying around your town, then you can try to shoot her down with the Ray Gun (150 Donuts). Once you get the Ray Gun placed and shoot Kodos down, she crashes into the Ray Gun, destroying them both. But Frink will show up and give you another Ray Gun, so you get two decorations and one character for your 150 Donuts.

Kodos has her own tasks (they pay at premium rates), and has a permanent task with Kang (if you have him).

If the Ray Gun does not show up in your shop, make sure Cletus is free. He has dialog that kicks things off (yup, aliens always appear to hillbillies first) after which Frink tells you how important it is that you shoot Kodos down - the Ray Gun appears in the store after that.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

In one of the Treehouse of Horror episodes Kodos was explicitly introduced by Kang as his "sister". I think in-game Kodos was actually part of a quest that only female characters could be sent on. However, there are other episodes of Treehouse of Horror where Kodos has been referred to as a male. Not sure what the consensus is amongst fans, but I always think of Kodos as a female.

I bought it and am at 4728 probes. The license does give you double the probes when vising friends, but I don't think it is necessary.

Not only that, tonight I had two gold bags. One had the human test subject in it, the other had 2 donuts, even though I still have a ton from the harp of death last spring and the Homer Buddha, it's still nice to get them.

I meant extra benefit to the neighbors, not to me. I visit and tap the little guys, but if I don't drop a gremlin, they don't even know I've been there. I try to pay back the people who've been leaving me gremlins, but I acquire them at a pretty slow rate.

Yes, we'll see what develops as the event progresses. I certainly don't want a return to the snake-whacking days.
