Just to put the XP in perspective:

Penitentiary: 24-hour build, 30 XP

Normal Springfielder: 24-hour task, 150 XP

They really need to allow us to buy donuts with cash. I'm to the point that I hVe 2 big purchases left and after that nothing to spend my money on but land. I don't buy donuts, just can't drop real money for game stuff.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm not sure what happened but I downloaded the update and now I can't load or play. It keeps freezing at the "Simpsons Tapped Out" screen and the donut at the bottom right doesn't spin. Then my iphone4 crashes and restarts. I have tried swiping the app to close it and doing a hard restart on my phone but it still won't load. I haven't been able to play in over two days. I still get notifications that my tasks are completed but can't get into the game to finish.

I have seen a number of reports of problems with the game after the iOS 7.1 update on iPhone 4. Users of other iDevices weren't seeming to have any additional problems.

My crashing problems stopped when I switched from 4 to 5S. Not that's why I did it... no, really it's not. :)

You're not going to convince them with that argument.

Some asshole hacked my city and spent all my donuts and money. Trying to sort it out with EA now.

This glitch has been going on for far too long. I've read that even before the nominations opened, Consumerist was getting requests to nominate EA for worst company again. Threepeat! Threepeat!

I don't think they hacked, they just logged in and your town came up; still that is a dick move.

Family Guy is coming out with a mobile game now. Yeah, time to get addicted to this one as well!

I don't think I'll do a Family Guy game, but if they do a Futurama version I'll be all over it.

I will try a Family Guy game just to see if Tinyco does a better job than EA.

I really, really, really hate Family Guy.

I really, really, really love The Simpsons.

I'll be right here, thanks.

No interest in Family Guy at all. I'll pass on that one.

Yep.

Waiting for the Futurama game though.

I am now at maximum FP. I get $95 for every neighbor building that I tap. Still only get 2xp. I managed to pick up 1 donut from one of the buildings. The final text said to be looking for more prizes to come later.

As for the final prize
Spoiler:
Stampy has two tasks. 12-hour and 24-hour. The 12 requires Bart. The 24 is inside the Simpson house. Since I don't want Bart on 12-hour tasks, I'm left with either an untasked Stampy or an invisible Stampy.

yes, super crappy that EA did that. Why even bother.

Why don't you want Bart on a 12 hr task?

I just fired up the game and I got a St. Patricks Day popup message awarding me 5 free donuts to "Irish things up."

It's much easier to bam-bam-bam through assignments with everyone on the same schedule. I prefer everyone on 4-hour tasks during the day. Having characters that can't fit that schedule is annoying.

The Flanders kids have the only joint task that I tend to do. They both have the same 4-hour task, so it doesn't matter which one I get to first.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Thanks for the reminder on 5 free donuts. I'm up to 190 and thinking it may be time to treat myself and pick up a premium item. Hard to choose, though.

bippitty 03-17-14 10:31 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

190 donuts = Blue Funzo + Purple Funzo + Pink Funzo + 10 donuts left over. Difficulty solved.

So, a 12 hr task is three 4 hr tasks.

Some of the tasks requiring two characters only gives money/xp as if one character i.e. Maude and Homer at 8 hrs. This one actually gives both and is better than the 24hr. I take back what I said previously.

:hscratch:

Only if you hit each of the three on the dot, which I generally don't. It ends up being 4 1/2 to 5 1/2. It then takes additional dead time to sync everybody back up. Even if I hit the times exactly, a 12-hour task does not pay 3x what a 4-hour task pays.

With schedule slippage, 12-hour tasks will end up going from 10:00/20:00 to 12:00/24:00 to 13:00/03:00. Then I have the uncollected funds waiting for me while I sleep.

All resulting in less $ and XP than I would get from my regular schedule.
