No one's mentioning the VAST improvements in the AI???!?! It's actually almost a challenge this year on normal difficulty!

More of the same is ok with me. I liked last year's version fine (though it didn't have any staying power with me), so I will play this version for a few weeks like I did the last and keep it moving. It would be nice to see a complete overhaul of the series in the coming generation, but I wonder if this series is sort of like Madden now -- you get what you get, just freshened up a bit.

Some of those DLC packs sound kind of cool, particularly the nWo one. I won't pay full price for this game but if the reviews are good maybe $30 or so.

My point of view: I've been playing these games ever since they came out.

I've only played 2K14 for four days now.

I have had more fun playing 2K14 these four days and have more epic, "classic" matches which had me going crazy while playing them, than I have had in the past 5 years put together.

While the improvements may seem superficial at first, it's THAT good of a game!

Flair is a beast in this game. It took me 4 tries to beat him with Savage and I could barely reverse anything.

Yeah the Diesel-Undertaker match is a great example of the dumb AI. You can beat Diesel senseless and he still acquires finishers out of nowhere for doing nothing.

I'm enjoying the Wrestlemania matches so far, but I really suck at them. That's why I never play on line. It took me 4 trys to get past Bundy, and I have failed 4 or 5 times against Savage so far. I need to get better at reversals. But I have marked out at times and I'm having fun, so no complaints here

Well, I swore I wouldn't get it more than likely and I meant it. I had no intention in getting it this year and especially not brand new. However, I just got the game today from the Walmart glitch, pricematched at Best Buy.

I don't suppose there is a discount on the season pass for PS+ members is there? I can't seem to find anything if there is.

Also, how do I get Ultimate Warrior since I didn't preorder? Unlockable or do I have to buy it?

I just put it in, I have no clue what I'm doing other than the basics. I just started the Wrestlemania thing and I just had more fun doing the Andre/Studd bodyslam challenge match than I have had in a wrestling game in a LONG time. This just may be pretty darn good...

This is how messed up the ai is in wrestlemania mode.....

So I'm doing the 3 way dance with orton cena and triple h. I get the first three objectives done no problem and the fourth(which is a punt kick and pin within 10 seconds)... Well, I do it 11 times. 11. Each time there is interference, no matter how far I injur the third partner from the ring the moment I hit the punt kick they magically get up and run three miles to the ring to stop the pin. Eventually, triple h comes into the ring, hits me with a normal clothesline and pins me while Cena, five feet away, stands there and does nothing.

I think that's the end for me. I can't put up with this shitty thing anymore.

Oh, and that was on easy.

I had no issues and that was on normal.

I think after the punt kick, you throw the other person out of the ring and then pin. :shrug:

They really stumbled onto something with this Wrestlemania mode. I haven't done a single thing in the game yet other than this. They could expand this with future games and I'd be all in. Do it for other major matches at WM, other PPVs, anything. Heck, do a game based on doing classic WCW matches, do it for ECW, whatever. I love this mode to death. I want to do this for Goldberg/Hogan from Nitro.

They nailed so many of the details, I'm very impressed with the entire thing.

A heads up for PS3 players. There was a patch released for the PS3. It's not for fixes or anything, it's just the prep patch for the first DLC pack, which will be available on Tuesday.

Nostalgia is the only reason I gave this series another shot, but I wonder what they do next. I cannot imagine there will be a WCW mode, or anything else that isn't Vincent K McMahon WWE centric, so I think the next logical step is to have a totally fantasy story mode that mixes classic stars in their most iconic prime against the stars of today. So say you have 6 months to a years worth of storylines that would culminate in a fantasy Wrestlemania with a card like:

Stone Cold vs Punk
Hogan vs Cena
Bret Hart vs Bryan
The Usos vs The Rockers
AJ vs Lita

You get the idea. Also, I would hope the developers and WWE would use people who could cut audio promos to fill out the story. Bret, Hogan, and Stone Cold could still be their old selves, even if their voices are a bit more refined and distinguished now. You wouldn't get the voice talent for every match on the card, but just the bigger names. So the Usos vs The Rockers, or LOD vs The Shield would just be matches with little in the way of audio buildup, where as Hogan and Cena would be fully fleshed out.

Something like this would get me really excited. Moreso than just having the next game be nostaglia for the early 2000s.

I want WCW vs WWE. That will bring me back. Their current stable of wrestlers..well just really do not interest me much. I can understand tho.

I personally think the future of the series is in expanding the Wrestlemania mode. Get more people on board, full PPVs, classic WCW and ECW matches. Heck, include other groups as well.

I've played this game more in the last week than I've played the last 2, 3, maybe 4 games. I love it, maybe my favorite American wrestling game since the old AKI days.

They are sitting on something special here if they just DO IT.

Make it paid DLC if need be, just get more events and matches out there. I'm not usually all about paying for DLC, but I'd make an exception for this.

I can't wait for the next gen game now.

This game is so fun but extremely buggy. I mean hilarious bugs. We were playing a match in Universe mode with a CAW we made vs Jack Swagger. When the ring announcer started to introduce the wrestlers, he was silent but his lips were moving, and then Goldberg's music is playing in the background for no reason :lol:

We've also seen a CAW come out to Edge's music then abruptly change to Rey Mysterio's music.

So I just picked this up and have been enjoying it. I have to say though the pin system can be a bitch at times. If you don't time it just right you're done with and that kind of sucks. The Wrestlemania Mode is cool though so far and I like that you have to hit key moments in the matches and whatnot. Just a cool mode to play and I agree with others that this could be expanded on in future entries with classic matches from WCW, ECW, or just other WWF/WWE events.

I've found the Wrestlemania matches to be fairly easy so far but a lot of fun to play. I did have a hell of a time with the Steamboat/Savage match though. I finally just got lucky and pinned him but I did that match a bunch of times.
