Also no RVD, Usos, Bellas, Fandango, Big E Langston.

The Usos are the only ones that should have been in, as they were DLC last year. The rest debuted too late (kinda like Axel).

They might all be in as DLC, who knows.

The more I see of this game the more it looks incredibly horrible to me. I have bought every single major wrestling game since the NES and this may be the one to break my streak. It looks, graphically, like one of the worst ever. My God.

When reviews hit for this one I fully anticipate scores in the 5-6 range.

And just the models, the overall graphics of it all, it looks so ancient to me. The games seems to look worse and worse with each passing year over the past few years. I may bite on Black Friday for $25 or $30, but I'm absolutely not paying full price unless all of the previews and stuff are totally wrong and it gets amazing reviews. That isn't going to happen though.

I really want a good wrestling game once again.

They needed a new engine for this generation, but didn't bother. I only bit this year because of the roster. Picked it up at Best Buy on my way home from work for the free Rock Blu-ray.

Hell, I didn't even get a Warrior code. Lame.

I do like the reversible cover they made. If you don't like The Rock, you can filp the cover and your game now has Daniel Bryan on the cover.

So I played through the entire Hulkamania portion of the game last night.

It's the same game as last year, just with new objectives. I'm okay with this. Hell I thought they should be doing a lot more of this... release full PPVs of content, or a month of TV broadcasts, etc. But, it's all very familiar. Flaws and all.

And the commentary, holy christ if I hear Lawler say "Look at the gold!" or something about someone's educated legs I'm going to piledrive myself. Are all the Wrestlemania matches with JR and King? One of the things I loved about WWE13 was that they'd use the original commentary whenever possible. Did Jesse Ventura want royalties again or something? All King and JR are doing is reading scripts of the original commentary.

Yep, I definitely did not have any issues with the graphics or the game at all.

I think it was probably something to do with rights, especially with all the celebrities that were a part of the Wrestlemanias... No Pam Anderson or Jenny McCarthy :(

I don't remember Andre, Studd or Bundy having music... seems weird. :lol:


I can't wait to play full Wrestlemanias in the actual arenas, with customs as needed.


I tried to create a custom wrestler quickly yesterday, but it looks like they changed that and it was just weird.

The graphics are fine, but the ART is pretty bad. I swear this game's version of Hogan looks like someone's mediocre downloadable CAW from last year's game.

I did like during the Wrestlemania 4 match, Dibiase comes out with Andre, and someone in the crowd has a "Where's Virgil?" sign.

The detail is pretty good, and the graphics look great. My brother-in-law is a huge wrestling fan and he is telling me how they nailed all the little details to all the matches.

Poor Virgil. I've seen him in person several times at Wizard World events and he sits there all alone in his booth with nobody even wanting a free pic. Poor guy.

But back to the game...I'm enjoying Wrestlemania mode alot. It's very nostalgic for me. But man, in that Ricky Steamboat / Macho Man match Randy annihilated me ten times before I could pass it.

They didn't use original commentary last year, it was JR and King just like this year. They copied many of the original lines, but they didn't use the original audio. Hell, for much of the attitude era in last year's game, Cole was the original announcer since JR was out with a Bells Palsy attack for late 98, early 99, but in the game he did all of it. Hell, it was Vince McMahon who said "That's gotta be Kane!" in real life, but JR did it in the game.

I will say that Attitude Era mode felt far more fleshed out, than this year's stuff. It was better with the details. Still, Relive Mode in Legends Of WrestleMania was better in terms of being true to the matches. Of course that's about the only thing that game did well.

Well there's one specific instance I remember in WWE13 where Austin was on commentary, and it was pulled from the actual commentary from that match.
