While he hasn't been announced yet, Andre The Giant is likely in the game. Some very observant fans love to crawl over every detail of these trailers and any image that gets out. One of them noticed that a fan in the stands is wearing an old Andre The Giant T-Shirt. This is usually a sign that the wrestler will be in the game.

There's also a Roddy Piper shirt in the crowd. Howard Finkel is shown as being a ring announcer in the game in the 80's era arena.

WWE 2K14 will include a single player campaign mode that spans the 30-year history of WrestleMania, 2K Sports announced. Called "30 Years of WrestleMania," the mode tasks players with completing over 45 matches separated into five different "eras" in WWE's lengthy history. 2K promises authentic arenas, gear, entrances and other presentation elements, as well as video packages and cinematic cut scenes to set the stage for each match.

Much like WWE 13's Attitude Era mode, players will complete objectives to unlock items such as playable wrestlers and alternate attire in 30 Years of WrestleMania, with most goals oriented around replicating moments from the matches as they happened in real life.

WWE 2K14 will hit the mat on October 29 for Xbox 360 and PS3. 2K recently announced a special Phenom Edition of the game, which features The Undertaker's "American Badass" character.

That sounds terrific. But I really hope they get deep into each card, and not just give you the handful of title matches from each show. I'd kill for some Hercules vs. Billy Jack Haynes action.

It doesn't sound like they are including a bunch of matches from each Wrestle-mania since it is only "over 45 matches" for 30 Wrestle-manias. :(

Of course, you can always go crazy with CAW and Match creators and recreate every Wrestle-mania. :D

The WrestleMania portion of the roster is being revealed on Saturday, so we'll have a better idea of what matches could be included.

I'm guessing that the first two Manias will be skipped, as they would have to add a Big John Studd or King Kong Bundy to the roster to have a notable match. Unless 2K worked out a deal with Mr. T of course.

Most of the old school roster will be probably be taken from Legends Of WrestleMania, with a few additions and subtractions. I'm hoping for a few new legends like Razor Ramon and Psycho Sid. Hell, give us Marty Jannetty, Boss Man and Akeem so we can have the Rockers Vs. The Twin Towers from Mania V. I'd mark out to Akeem entering to Jive Soul Bro.

Bundy might make it if they really are committed to having all 29 manias represented. I'm just not sure if the roster would be deep enough to put him in. There are some that believe that Undertaker's streak is going to play a part in this mode, so Bundy would fit there as well.

Hell, put all of Taker's victims in the game. Giant Gonzales could finally get his due!

I have to say, this roster is a bit of a letdown. Not enough legends, way too heavy on recent mania matches, and way too light on the early years. Razor Ramon being in the game is awesome. But Goldberg? So we can relive that "classic" match between him and Lesnar? Really?

The roster does confirm that every Mania will be represented.

I think that Wrestlemania roster is pretty decent. I wish there would be an ultimate roster with all the big stars from ECW, WCW, and WWF/WWE though. It seems like these games always give some that I'm happy to see but leave off others that I'd like to be in.

Glad to see guys like Diesel and Razor Ramon but sort of wish we got their alternate versions and had a Kevin Nash (nWo era maybe) and Scott Hall (nWo era again). Also cool to see guys like Goldberg, Hart, Hogan, Savage, and Ultimate Warrior though.

My big problem with a lot of these rosters are that they double up a lot of wrestlers just with different attires or whatever so that seems sort of a cheap way to pad out how many they're actually giving us. I suppose there might be DLC at some point though.

Yeah, DLC is a given.

Also, that is just the Wrestlemania roster, so hopefully there will be other legends that were not part of Wrestlemania (WCW, ECW included)

That's exactly what it's for. Lesnar has only had 3 Mania matches: Angle, Goldberg, and HHH. Angle is not in the game, so that means the other two matches are both included.

Now what could happen is that it's a special referee match, and you play as Austin.

There will probably be more legends as DLC, but they'll likely be tied into the Mania theme. Though technically you could include just about anybody outside of Sting in that case. Piper may be DLC as his shirt is in the crowd, but he's not on the roster.

But they have also said that the current is complete and deep. They did announce that Darren Young is in the game, which means Titus O'Neil is likely in as well. You could see guys like Curtis Axel and Fandango making it as DLC, as they came along right around the cutoff date.

What I would really like someday is a WWE legends game but not like the Legends of Wrestlemania game that was released a few years back with the more arcade style controls. The Legends of Wrestling games (that were released on the Playstation 2 and Xbox I believe) used to be kind of fun for what they were and had deep rosters with legends from a bunch of the various companies/eras. I'd love to see something like that attempted but with official WWE licensing so they could use trademarks, theme songs, etc. from ECW, WCW, WWF/WWE and other companies.

I'm not sure I've owned a decent WWE game that's features Angle (who's in my top 5 of all time).

Those DOR games for the gamecube were incredible. I used to have 25-30 min back and forth matches with Angle & Benoit on DOR 2. I wish that engine was used instead of what we have now with this series.

Miss Elizabeth is in.
Bobby Heenan is in.
Lita is in.
The ring carts from WM III and VI are in.
HBK's zipline entrance from WM XII is in.

While not shown, I think one can safely assume that Mr. Fuji and Paul Bearer will also be in the game.

From this era, about the only matches that they missed were Bret Vs. Owen and Undertaker Vs. Sid. But Owen is unobtainable, so there ya go. Why Sid isn't in the game is beyond me. He's the only guy to face Hogan and Taker at Mania.

I do wish they had gone deeper with the first era. And put some freaking tag teams in there. They played a huge part in the early years. No Hart Foundation, no Demolition, no Rockers.

There are 84 playable characters in total. The Ultimate Warrior will only come as a pre-order bonus, while the 'American Badass' version of The Undertaker (thankfully without Kid Rock or Limp Bizkit) will only be included in the Phenom Edition.

Not a bad roster. I still plan on sticking with WWE 13 for a while, unless this gets insane reviews.
