Don't care for the name, but whatever. Love that they immediately show the console. Looks kind of big.
Interface looks pretty nice  |

So they didn't want to name the 360 "Xbox 2", because it was a lower number than "Playstation 3", but now they name the third Xbox the "Xbox one"?

group video calls on skype.

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
I don't want to talk to my TV. I hope all this stuff will be easy to do with the controller/remote.

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
baked in fantasy stuff when watching sports. that's a pretty good untapped market.

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
xbox one has a guide for television. the voice channel changing is pretty seemless.

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
i wonder how this will work (if even at all) with non-cable providers (i.e. Dish and DirecTv).

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
Can Kinect and voice controls really be this amazing in home? Sweet lord I hope so.
|
re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
Of course 1pm hit my sprint 4G slows down to a crawl at 200 KBPS so i dont' get to watch

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
Seems like its all about the movies and TV. Pretty ugly console though.
|
re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
This tv stuff is mindblowing. Hopefully Kinect is wireless and works in the dark.

I think it would be a little weird not to have DVR capabilities... especially with all that.
|
re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
I hope this has cablecard and doesn't rely on my cable companies crappy set top box.

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
It seems like the video must be simulated. Aside from the obvious of them showing old NBA games, I don't think they can actually change channels this fast, since our providers can't even do that.

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
sweet way to spend time at work: live-streaming some dude flipping TV channels in front of hundreds of people for an hour.

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
I'd love a silent console given the jet engine inside my 360.

I don't think so, specifically as The Price Is Right is literally on right this moment.

I came in late, how is the live TV supposed to work given all the proprietary receivers and DVRs out there?
