I'm actually excited to try out Killer Instinct. I played the hell out of 1/2/Gold back in the day.

Ryse: Son of Rome season pass revealed
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/rys.../1100-6415913/

Microsoft and Crytek today announced the Ryse: Son of Rome season pass, a $20 offering that will include four expansion packs to be released in the months following launch.

The Ryse: Son of Rome season pass will be available for purchase at launch on November 22. It includes four expansions containing a total of 14 multiplayer maps, a new mode, six player skins, new level events, and access to a new tier of weapons and armor.

The four Ryse: Son of Rome expansions will be available for purchase individually, though the only way to receive an in-game sword and shield with bonus attributes for multiplayer will be through the pass.

Ryse: Son of Rome will be available as a boxed product at retail and through download at launch for $60. The game also features microtransactions for its multiplayer mode.

Things I learned in the 7th Generation of gaming. Season passes are not worth it. Hell, the one I thought would be bulletproof was Borderlands 2 and the first three of those were merely 'okay.' Too many variables into whether or not that DLC will be worth it. Will I still be playing that game? What about sales on the individual DLC packs? What if the DLC blows? What if I buy a map pack pass and my crew leaves me hanging for another game?

No more season passes for me.

Well, it depends on the season pass. The L.A. Noire one was worth it for sure. The key is to not buy until you know exactly what you're getting.

Is it 720P? I believe it HAS to be asked.

Is Peggle 2 a MS exclusive or an Xbox One exlcusive? I recently switched to a Windows phone and I'd much rather play it there. Just curious if there's a chance we'll see a mobile version any time soon.

So wait until all DLC packs have been released?

Timed Xbox One exclusive. Probably no more than 6 months.

They screwed Borderlands 2 for me, by taking so damn long to raise the level cap... stopped playing since it seemed kind of wasted to keep playing much more when experience was not being gained for the eventual higher levels.

By the time they finally did it, none of my group was playing it anymore.

I bought the season pass as well and haven't played any of the new missions because of the same reason. I would def love to play through them all to at least feel I got some of my money's worth.

The WWE games have had a decent value with their season passes because you probably want all the downloadable wrestlers and you get them at a discount if you buy the pass.

LA Noire's season pass was an incredible value.

Games I've loved like Saints Row 3 & 4 have been hit and miss.

Interested to see if Bioshock Infinite pulls it off or not. Shelling out that $20 for nothing for six months didn't make any sense to me though.

It must be in 720p because it's so pixelated I can barely tell wtf is going on.

Yes, the Xbox One can play CDs and will support DLNA streaming

Further, while the XO won't specifically play MP3s from the XO's own hard drive (allegedly), it can play them from "Play To" enabled devices, and also if they're part of your Xbox Music library.

So, some good news, and some confusing news. I use Xbox Music (it IS platform-agnostic, unless you have a Blackberry...) and Spotify.*

*I'm trying to decide which is better for me. Biggest downfall of Spotify is not being able to stream my own music that is not in the catalog but in my library. Xbox Music lets you do this with music that can't be streamed but can be purchased... but not the music that fits outside of those guidelines... but they are apparently adding that support... for now, I use SkyDrive for that stuff.

I agree.

Anyway, AFAIK I've never played a racing game that had the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a venue (one I've visited several times in real life), so that should be cool.

Nothing about those two videos' in-game footage - besides the 1080p/60 FPS notification - seemed all that "Next Gen" to me. Hope the game comes out great. It might be the only launch XO game I'm getting, barring a change of heart on CoD Ghost.
