I'm seeing quite a few similarities between both systems and how we will be using them.

Holy shit, that guy did like 12 different things in a little over a minute. Their new tag line should be "Xbox One, perfect for your loved Ones with ADD"

That commercial is pretty sweet. Got me excited about the new interface and how easy everything seems to flow together. This generation is going to be won by the front end and networks of these new systems, the games will be a wash.

Hey it's cool and all to have the whole multi-tasking feature, but how many people actually do what that guy does in the video? If I'm watching a movie, I'm not switching to four different things at one time. Does the younger generation function like that?

What I personally like about it are the simpler things.

You know, like creating or joining a party chat instantly rather than having to go through three or four different menus that take a minute or so.

Might of gotten a bit lucky with the Mountain Dew / Doritos contest. We had a major water issue in my region and we've been on a boil water advisory for the past few days and it lasts until Tuesday. The restaurant I work at filled the back room with bottled water and soda to serve our guests. I noticed the contest and asked the servers to save me the tops of the Dew bottles. Brought home a cup full last night and today and we've barely used any of our supply. By the time the contest actually opens up I am hoping we will have depleted our supply and I will have banked all the codes.

Uh, that was an ad, which usually is short, so it had to condense all those options for time.

No one is that ADD I don't think.

Seriously. It was a showcase for features, not a real-world use case.

re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)

A $400 vet bill for my dog, plus delay to one of the games I wanted to get in Watch Dogs, worries about performance early on while Microsoft gets their stuff together, and knowing I still have GTAV on 360 as well as knowing i'm playing BF4 and CoD on PC along with games like Wolf Among Us make me really think i'm going to wait out this launch and just wait another 6 months until I but a next gen console.

As much as I really wanted that Launch Day box, controller, and achievement... that $400 or $500 just is becoming less worth it to me right now. Blah. Damn dog.

Your dog is far more important than a console.

Take care of the dog first.

$400 vet bill? That's insane.

Not sure if you're joking, but there's this irrational hate of cats from a lot of dog lovers. I'm not sure why, but there just is. My cat is awesome, but a $400 vet bill? What the hell costs $400 at the vet? I'm curious.

A lot of things, especially if it requires x-rays or cultures to be done.
