I was lucky enough to have a Legendary Engram on hand last night. I absolutely had to have that Hunter Cape....I got a 330 Legendary from a Rare yesterday morning but it's one of those half-capes that look like you're wearing some baby towel that goes to your waist...that had to go.

We did a few patrols and those are fun...that new Walker is no pushover and the new modes; assassination and containment are cool. We're still impressed with the sheer size and it seems Bungie just added more stuff...items, junk, details to the maps. There are tons of little places to look and explore. We ended up with 7 of 15 fragments doing the story. We're avoiding any hints and how to's on finding these. Cool touch with the Lava stuff

Each sub class has its own unique abilities. Each sub class also has exotics that tailor to those different abilities. Your light level is going to stay the same no matter what subclass you are doing. Plus Trophies/Achievements.

I hear once you get to 350, getting higher becomes super slow.

odd, have not had or seen anyone get anything blue above 340
though I did have a blue decode into an exotic at a much higher light level and of course they have a chance to decode into legendaries at higher levels as well

ha, I'm not salty about the gallywing and horn and definitely not salty enough to take time posting a negative review on Amazon ....I'll just "vent" to you guys

I got range finder and 3rd eye, and with the perks I can max out stability. Supremacy isn't the best judge because of how close up the combat has to be, but it's OK. Not the HP of year one, but usable.

Before the max drop any and everything was 340 but did land a 341 Legendary The Nightmare Rocket Launcher....

We're going back into RoI tonight but if anyone is up for the PoE (42) let me know. I need to run it and the other with my characters. I'll guess I'll head to Court of Oryx so I can load up on Rare Engrams again.

... and to follow up, yes in (heroic) strikes blue engrams can drop higher than 340

Yeah, I did a 320 heroic strike at 315, and the final boss dropped 3 blue and one purple engram, and all of them decrypted well over 320. Pretty generous compared to my previous experiences. I'm sure the same will happen if I do more.

the email didn't mention it and I entered the code online after I signed off last night so I did not reboot the game to check
I assume it was part of the download package

EDIT: never assume .... looks like Reddit reports the horn would be a different code and those have not been sent out

Not engrams...actual loot. If you see a blue item and it's already decoded, that can be over 340. If you gotta take it to the Cryptarch, it will be 340 max.

Oh, and for those who have been waiting for it, Eva Levante has Sparklepony today for 7500 Glimmer.

It's that time of week folks: XUR REPORT TIME! And this is the big week as we get to see the changes brought by Xur with Rise Of Iron. Here are the highlights:

Xur's Items are now 350 Light (Up from 280 in TTK)
Xur can now sell Legacy Boot Engrams
Xur will sell Ornaments for Silver Dust. More on that in a bit.

This week, Xur is located in the Reef, so now you have reason to go there and get your weekly package from Variks.

The Legacy Engram is for Gauntlets. Don't Buy This!

For the Titan, it's Twilight Garrison. Evade things in midair!

For the Hunter, it's the Celestial Nighthawk. 1 Powerful Golden Gun bullet. Better not miss your shot.

For the Warlock, it's the first Exotic boots for the class, Transversive Steps. This is also the first Rise Of Iron exotic that Xur has sold. The perks here are interesting. One is that you can move faster while crouching. In PVP, crouching takes you off radar and now you can move faster while doing it.

The second perk is that when you pick up ammo, the gun that ammo is for will be instantly reloaded. Pick up primary, your primary is reloaded, etc. So that's pretty good, and it's Exotic Warlock boots!

The weapon this week is the Monte Carlo. You know the city, now own the gun.

Ornaments: These are items that allow you to apply skins to 11 exotic weapons. Xur will be selling 2 of them each week. Each ornament costs 25 Silver Dust.

You also get an ornament from each Radiant Treasure package you recieve or buy from Eververse. You can break down unwanted Ornaments for 5 silver dust, meaning it will take 5 unwanted ornaments to pick the one you want. That is not a very fair exchange rate in my opinion. But if you disagree, here is what Xur has this week.

Ornament 1 is Superspy for Monte Carlo. Makes it Red and Black.

Ornament 2 is Bureau Of Aeronautics for Khovostov 7G-0X. Gives it a Green, Orange and White look.

Make sure to grab heavy and three of coins. Xur's still got em!

...and wouldn't you know it, I landed the Ttian chest pc the other day. Darn thing looks like you should be wearing it in some WWII COD game. And I haven't found a single color combination that thing looks good on....

...I will check the boots but as ususal for me The Three of Coins has paid off and I'll continue with them.

What is the Archon missions and stuff in RoI? It hasn't popped up yet and we were talking about it last night. We're still doing the patrols and such and really haven't got into the side missions
