OK Folks, it's Xur Report time! Well, I hope it's time. Time has been a real strange bitch this morning, and I have had what could only be explained as a temporal displacement during my Xur Report. I believe I actually shifted through time and space in my attempt to bring you Xur's deals this week. The reasons for this are unknown.

Anyway, my results can be found in the video report coming up later.

Xur can be found in Center Tower, next to the Crucible Quartermaster. Here's his deals:



For the Titan, it's Ruin Wings. Heavy ammo, lots of heavy ammo.

For the Hunter, it's Mask Of The Third Man. I didn't do it, it was the Third Man.

For the Warlock, it's Light Beyond Nemesis. Revive fast...and often...

No engram this week because...

The weapon this week is Truth. Because not enough people have this in Iron Banner already.

The Legacy Engram is for Gjallarhorns...I mean heavy weapons. Don't buy unless you need a GHorn.

Has anybody actually used those fibers Xur sells for exotics?

They come in handy. I use them when I want faster reload speeds and more ammo for specific weapon classes.

So what does it do again? It doesn't affect the attributes of the exotic, does it?

Glass needles reforge exotic armor. It doesn't change the exotic perks, but the other perks are fair game.

weekly updates now hold less excitement than the arrival of Xur and I don't care about the weekly arrival of Xur

But you might be interested to learn that this week, "Xur" has invaded my report and has given me an exclusive roadmap for the future. That's right "Xur" talks about what's coming down the road, though he really couldn't be too specific about dates.

No engram this week because...

The weapon this week is Hawkmoon (sorry chase!). Shoot people with lucky bullets.

The Legacy Engram this week is for Primary Weapons. Chase, go and get your Year 1 Hawkmoon! For everyone else, refer to my Legacy Engrams: A Cautionary Tale video that I made the last time Xur sold a primary engram before diving in that pit.

I'm pretty tempted on that Legacy engram. Is it supposed to be weighted towards the weapons you don't already have?

Yes. If Hawkmoon is the only one not in your kiosk for Y1, then it should come up for you. When I did my video, every weapon I got was one I didn't have a Y1 version of. The ones I did have didn't come up.

Well it looks like someone is getting a Y1 Hawkmoon

Well, unlike some weekly visitors to the Bungie Universe, Xur has returned at his specified time and that means I have returned at mine to bring you The Xur Report! Yep, even my Internet going down shortly before reset has not stopped me from finding my way to the Tower to bring you Xur's deals.

"Xur" will have a little more to say about that in the video report, as he seems to take offense at those who don't keep a proper schedule. Can't say I blame him...

Xur is located in the Hangar this week, down in the lounge.



For the Titan, it's An Insurmountable Skullfort. Lots and lots of melees!

For the Hunter, it's the Achlyophage Symbiote helmet. You get an extra Golden Gun shot with this. However, what they don't tell you is that your time to use Golden Gun goes down when you use it. This was a nerf added for Year 2. It goes from very useful to barely useful because of this (not that many use Gunslingers at this point).

For the Warlock, it's The Heart Of The Praxic Fire. Look sexy while dealing more damage in Radiance.

Fun note! Xur offered these three items together back on December 18th. And where was Xur that week? The Cantina (It was Star Wars day).

The Exotic Engram this week is for Helmets. Be careful here because...

The Legacy Engram this week is for Helmets.

Yes, the exotic and legacy engrams are for the same item this week. That is a first for Xur. And just because I love you guys, I checked on that. That's how I discovered the fun note above. You won't find that in the video report, it's a DVDTalk Exclusive.

So like I was saying, both engrams look the same this week. But the first one is a Y2 item for 19 coins, and the second is a Y1 item for 29 coins. Make sure you pick the right one. And by the right one, I mean the one on the left, not on the right.
