I'll still be working my y2 hawkmoon in IB. I like hand cannons in PvP and the 3 out of 12 shots doing bonus damage can't be beat. Then of course a shotgun. I haven't really gotten any good shotgun drops. I have a 290 Conspiracy Theory but it doesn't have much going for it.

other than the 2 most important stats for a PvP shotty, high impact and extended range
only issue I have with it is the slow reload ... more of an issue for PvE than PvP

Conspiracys slow fire rate drives me crazy but i still use it for the high impact

Got that for Arc, Immobious for solar and I got a void Strongbow-D today which seems pretty decent

It's not much of a quest.

If you did all the stuff yesterday, all you do is the SABER strike on 280 and the Simulant is yours.

I'm kind of glad I didn't run the mission on all three characters since it only drops at 290. I'm assuming you can pull out others at 280 via the blueprints.

They are making up for the bs warsat portion of the quest. I still need mars after running around for ~2 hours. Keep getting eliminate the target....

we had a lot of the same last night

we had 3 of us split up in sections to try and catch an event on Mars and finally after going back and forth between Earth and Mars to catch the last one needed we actually had the event start in 2 separate areas of Mars we were covering and both were defend the Warsat

I wonder if all instances spawn the same event at the same time.

I got 2 of my Simulants. Since my Hunter didn't complete the day 1 stuff until today, she has to wait.

Did the Warsat stuff with my buds joe and nac. We spent nearly an hour on the moon (which I already had). Had to go through 2 full rotations before Warsat finally came up. After that we went to Earth...and Warsat started right when we got to the Mothyards.

Mars was not as fast. Buried City had Eliminate The Target, so we went to Scablands and got Warsat.

Gotta say, I'm not all that impressed by the Simulant. It's no Gjallarhorn.

I did get a Year 2 Thunderlord from the Nightfall (290), and bought a Truth. Now I just need Last Word and SUROS from Year 1 upgrades.

Got an Exotic Chest Engram and it turned into a 310 Starfire Protocol.

pretty sure Bungie learned their lesson with that
more situational weapons vs. game breaking weapons

Tried it out a little bit, will be good for one on one battles not when theres a lot of enemies around

With the deployment of Update 2.0.1, we will wholesale remove the Shot Package perk from all Shotguns. Any shotgun with Shot Package (depending on the exact weapon) will now have Close and/or Personal, Crowd Control, or Knee Pads. This change has not negatively impacted our PVE playtests.

Even though Shot Package is going away right now, expect to continue seeing Shotguns used to great effect by Crucible warriors. Each Class allows for movement optimizations that let players quickly close gaps. Most PVP maps have great flank routes and tight spaces. Game modes like Control, Salvage, and Rift ask players to converge upon and fight over small spaces to win. With or without Shot Package, even our shortest range Shotguns will continue to be effective death dealers in the hands of a skilled Guardian. With Shot Package on a time-out, we can recalibrate the effective range and research a way to hopefully reintroduce the perk after some time at the work bench.

And booo to the Shotpackage extraction. I am so used to ADSing shotguns whether or not they have shotpackage. It is just force of habit from CoD. Full Auto will now be the new hotness I guess.

OK, so here we go with this week's Xur Report, brought to you by weasels and caterpillars. I'm not a huge fan of them, but Bungie's been giving me quite a lot of them lately.

This week's offerings are a bit of a blast from the past, and a shift in the rotation.

Xur is located in Center Tower, near the Vanguard table.

The Legacy Engram is for Heavy Weapons...again. Don't buy this.

For the Titan, it's An Insurmountable Skullfort. Good roll here, and the extra melee charge comes in handy.

For the Hunter, it's Knucklehead Radar. Gives you third eye on all primaries. This one also has health regen on orb pickup.

For the Warlock, it's the Claws Of Ahamkara. Extra melee like with the Sjullfort. All strength roll is a bummer, but you can add discipline to the mix. Might wanna skip this in favor of the next item.

No weapon this week, which is a bit of a surprise. I guess we're not getting engram/weapon/engram/weapon, as this is two weeks in a row without a weapon.

The engram this week is for Gauntlets. 290 or 310 drops here. Might get a better set of Claws than what he's selling. I did.

Looks like I'll grab some engrams to use for infusion for both my Hunter and Titan. That will put everyone at 302 or over and should put my Titan around 304-305.

Tonight I'd like to try and finish the Raid we started earlier this week. If we start at 10pm, we should be at Oryx around 11:30pm. Then I'd like to try and get a full run in tomorrow with our Alts.

I bought a bunch of engrams, hoping to get Don't Touch Me Year 2. No dice. Ended up getting every other available pair of Gauntlets in 310, including 5 or 6 Sealed Ahamkara Grasps. I have enough where I can buy the Don't Touch Me's out of the kiosk and get it to 310 that way.

Picked up and stored some exotic engrams along with the hunter helmet. I really haven't had much luck getting exotics to drop for me. I figure storing some of these engrams will pay off once I hit 300 light. Sitting @ 294 right now and have 6 helmet engrams and 4 gauntlet engrams in my vault.

Tried the sleeper stimulant mission with some randoms and after a few.attempts I gave up. No bueno. I'll give it a shot next week . I ended up running a couple more missions to complete bounties and gunsmith leveling on my Titan along with running the daily and the crucible match for legendary marks.
Also got my alts to rank 2 with the gunsmith and picked up the fusion rifle and sniper rifle missions from him.

Overall a productive night

crappy Xur week (but pretty much expected) for my needs as I just got the Skullfort and Knuckhead from helmet engrams purchased last week and I think I may have 3 sets of the Warlock Claws from the first time gauntlet engrams were offered
may pick up some to try and get some 310's for infusion or possibly Impossible Machines or Sealed Grasps, to improve on the only gauntlets I would currently use

nope, we have done some dry runs to get the mechanic down but decided a better use of our time was getting in the earlier stuff on multiple characters first thus no ToM on our fireteams thus far

I did an LFG raid with my alt Titan (his first), but I switched the Touch of Malice over beforehand. Even with that he was only 295 light at the start of the raid. Didn't matter though.

We did every single boss fight without ever wiping. Yes, there were a couple silly deaths at the jumping puzzles, but really only like 2 or 3. We had the entire raid done from start to finish in not much longer than an hour.

3 out of 6 of us had Touch of Malice. Warpriest was killed in 2 rounds. Golgoroth in 4 and we actually screwed up the first gaze grab. Sisters were killed back to back on their first respective relics.

The raid gets really, really easy when everyone has proper weapons and knows what they're doing. Just like the previous raids, people will soon be finished with it 3 times before Tuesday morning is over (if they aren't doing that already).

Currently the only piece of exotic armor I have for my Warlock is a 290 helmet. Would it be worth rolling the dice on a gauntlet engram? Or just waiting for next week?
