with the 2.0 drop coming, does it add anything to make the game more single player friendly? Are there good deals for buying just the base Destiny? It is still getting revamped, right? Just not the NEW content?

The main story missions are single player friendly however once you get to the Strikes and Raids - aka end game content you are gonna have to deal with other players.

You can buy new copies of vanilla destiny for under $20 (PS4 on amazon is 18.75). Though with Best Buy Gamers Club unlocked the Legendary edition with all the DLC and the Taken King is like $48 - pretty good bargain IMHO - I'd rent it from redbox if you are unsure about it.

No, the Nightfall and weekly changes won't come until TTK does. So next week will still be normal, with the weapon changes, quests, and Nolanbot.

The patch won't drop until around 8-10AM Pacific anyway, if they follow their traditional schedule.

Well, and I think because of matchmaking, Strikes are very single-player friendly. The only content I find infuriating are Raids and the upper PoE levels because I can never find a team. Wish they'd somehow build a form of matchmaking into that.

I think they will, or at least have it available through drops. They said we all essentially have a "locker" of all weapon blueprints we're supposed to try and collect...and that collecting would be much easier for us. And those lockers included year one weapons.

6 person raid drops 9/18.

More BS. Lvl 2 in the Cort of Orx the enemys were lvl 41, one lvl above you. Logic would tell you in lvl 3 enemys are going to be 2 above you.

I appreciate the site lists. I've tried a couple of them, but still have difficulty getting a team together. I wish the devs just put in a matchmaking option. I've read in interviews that they want us to have teams that work together, but what happens is the "rest of us" end up just throwing teams of people we don't know together anyway. Just having the option would be awesome.

I've been planning to upgrade to a ONE at some point, but right now a few friends are still on the 360 so I'm sticking with it until we're all ready to move (hopefully this holiday season--I'm guessing I'll score a great deal on Black Friday).
