Did all the First bounties for the story last night with one character and it was fun and different. But the Economic & Commerce part of the game is still broken and what I've called..."Expanding the top of the funnel while the bottom stays the same" problem.

New gear, new types of currency, more Ammo Packs via the chests, more missions, more bounties, more rewards, tokens, etc...........yet the inventory is already bursting at the seems and the Glimmer cap is getting maxed out faster than I can spend. And I haven't even ran the new stuff with my other two characters.

I did the same thing - played a crucible with my 27 Titan and then did the first couple solo missions, but those bummed me out since they were just re-using the same levels, so I finally started a 2nd character, a Sunsinger, and hopefully I can level that shit up better than the Titan, what with being able to share equipment.

Funny thing is, after being stuck on level 27 for more than 10 hours, it was nice to level up from 1 to 10 in less than one hour.

I guess that's good and bad. Good that the old stuff is relevant again. Bad that a lot of the exotic stuff isn't so exotic anymore since many of the perks are crap. So you can technically reach the highest possible light level with all legendary gear and not a single exotic equipped? (I realize you could do that before with a full raid gear set, but it seems now all you really need is etheric light and you can max out with any combination of easily obtainable gear). Interesting.

The gear may be easy to obtain, but Etheric Light isn't. It's a very rare piece, and since you use it to bring up both your weapons and armor, it's a high priced commodity.

On the other hand, Exotics are sold every week by Xur, with coins that are easily obtainable, through engrams, nightfall and raids. They are all easily upgradable to max with Exotic shards that again, Xur sells.

And again, stuff like Raid gear still holds an advantage. Raid boots have the carry extra ammo perk. Never seen that on vendor gear. But at the end of the day, it's no longer just about getting to 34, it's getting to 34 with the gear you want.

And let's be honest, it wasn't that hard to get Crota gear ;)

Are armor/weapon cores and etheric light guaranteed drops in the level 32 (armor), 34 (weapon/etheric) and 35 (all three) PoE arenas?

Yes but not in the level 28

http://planetdestiny.com/prison-treasure-key-guide/

So what is the weekly reset for?”

Even though the chests aren’t on a reset, the guaranteed rewards are. The Armor Cores, Weapon Cores, & Etheric Light will drop per once per week, per character, the first time you complete that difficulty each week.

Assuming you complete the level 32, 34, and 35 challenge mode, you’ll be guaranteed a minimum of 1,000 Judgment reputation, 2 Armor Cores, 2 Weapon Cores, & 2 Etheric Light. That’s not including the extra loot you’ll undoubtedly get from the Treasure room!

Challenge mode loot is separated per mode, so to get all of it, you’ll need to do each difficulty. Unlike the Weekly Heroic, you won’t be able to do the level 35 to get the level 32 & 34 rewards

Activision told IGN that 105 million engrams were decrypted during the May 19th launch of House of Wolves and that 11.2 billion in glimmer was received from the Cryparch's in the game.

Got my second Warlock up to 32, so I'm back in business.

Also did a bunch of the new content, and thus far, I'm most definitely not impressed. People paid $20 to play existing content backwards? Are you shitting me? Imagine the backlash if any other game pulled that shit. Here's our $20 expansion to Gran Turismo. It's the same tracks, but now they're backwards!

On the upside, it was nice to revisit that starter area with the cars, because it's a pretty cool area, and the new strike was quite good. It was also good to see them finally add some enemy variety.

But my favorite thing that happened tonight was when I went to turn in the weekend bounties and one of my characters had a full consumables inventory, where the key would go. You'd think the key would just go to the post office like anything else, right? Wrong. Lost a key.

Level 28 in PoE is a cakewalk compared to level 32. I can only imagine how insane 34 and 35 must be.

Fully agreed. It's some fucked up bullshit and I don't know why they're not called out on it more.

not sure why that would have happened to you but I can tell you I've had full consumables and my key did indeed go to the postmaster

also I have no problem with the new content revisiting old areas in the manner Destiny has as a matter of fact it was a blast to do a mission in

I really just leveled him to 20 and had enough raid armor on my Warlock main to pass him a set. And leveling to 20 is super quick if you know how to keep yourself capable of running the Heroic versions of all of the story missions. Add in two days worth of bounties, and you're there.

I thought it was cool too...just not cool at $20.

Maybe other keys do, but that one doesn't? All I know is that I didn't get a key for that character, and I definitely ran the bounties (it's on my main).

Did you already complete all the bounties on another character? That happened to me. When I finished all the bounties on my first character, I was rewarded with a key. When I finished them all with my second character, I got zero. Literally no reward at all. I guess it's a one time thing.

I thought the treasure key was a reward for finishing the HoW story missions? So you're saying that is only once per account? I assume they don't force you to do the level 28 PoE on secondary chars then?

This is the key for doing the weekend bounties, not the HoW story. I assumed each character would get one, but apparently not, because reasons.

Wait, so we got a key for that? Doing all 6 bounties? I'm pretty sure all I got was glimmer and spirit bloom. Was it a PoE treasure key?

I guess that's why I finally started a 2nd characters - got to level 10 in under two hours. But I just know I'll plateau at 27.

I finally decided to give this one a shot. I DL the demo and so far...just not impressed at all. I did get a kick out of running into other players on the safe planet and how another player was even in the start of my second mission (he didn't help me out much though ) but the game itself just feels too generic (i.e. guns sound like shit, enemy ceratures just get annoying, etc..).

A buddy of mine (and the reason why I decided to try it out) told me it gets so much better and wants to hop online with me to show me the better guns and other stuff.

Not a bad game....it's just go so boring and so reptitive pretty damn fast.

Your Vanguard sells everything you need to get to 31...might even be 32 or 33 with this latest update. You just have to get the Vanguard Marks. Well, you'll need one exotic from Xur (or elsewhere) as well.

It's a pretty simple process, but I don't have any idea how you'd know it without somebody telling you. It makes me wonder whether they made the game purposefully obtuse just to make it more "social". Even in this newest update, where they "learned lessons" and "simplified" things, there are multiple new currencies and new overly complicated processes for leveling up.

Ditto to what Chess said. Get some marks. Buy Vanguard gear and one exotic. You'll instantly be 32. Also do all of the bounties to level your Vanguard and you might get lucky and get an armor piece via the package if you are short on marks. Then level a new char of the same class and you'll have 2 32s. As you saw with Chess, it only takes 2 days to get to 20.

The real game doesn't start until post level 20 (doing strikes with better rewards, night falls, raids, etc). Unfortunately, the ride to 20 is pretty bland. Try to hold your final judgement until you can experience more of the "endgame" material.

Even though I'm doing a lot of bounties and/or crucibles, strikes, etc (except for raids), I can't seem to get many Vanguard marks or strange coins - it's almost like they're stuck. I like public events, but they very rarely happen to me.

Still can't afford vanguard gear. I do have one exotic, but I can't level it up because I need to dismantle another exotic I don't have for the shard to do so.

You can get guaranteed strange coins by running the weekly heroic strike. The higher the level, the more coins you get.

Is it possible that you've maxed out your Vanguard marks for the week?

Last time I tried a heroic strike, it didn't have matchmaking, so I couldn't do it. Is that still the case?
