so if watch dogs is coming on next gen systems, pretty much no reason to buy this for the xbox360 or ps3.

I have to admit, WATCH DOGS looked pretty f'ing cool. Still not sure this is a huge enough leap for me to invest in...but I'm a casual gamer and not a hardcore one.

I highly doubt it's coming out on ps3/360. The marketing materials released do not specify a system.
