Re: Cyberpunk 2077 (12/10/2020: PS4, XB1, PC)
I decided to give this a try yesterday, since it's kinda on sale on PS5. Played about 3 hours, just a couple Qs:
I'm not sure if part of the story got skipped or not, but I tried to steal a car for someone, and got caught. The guy said they were going to break my legs and dump me in the lake or something like that, and the screen fades to black. Next scene, they're just dumping me and another guy in an alley and walking away. What happened? They didn't say! They just changed their minds?
I keep accidentally hitting the grenade button (R1) instead of the hack button (L1). And I can't figure out how to put my grenade away without actually throwing it, killing random people on the street and pissing people off. LOL

I had to go in my controller settings and fix them to what I had them to before the 2.0 update. There are new reactions to things that you do. I vaguely remember that scenario of getting almost dumped in the river. The 2.0 also made the police extremely aggressive. There many more police cruisers and cops on the beat than there was before.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 (12/10/2020: PS4, XB1, PC)
Ok, I'm about 4 hours in, and am a little surprised how little action is in the game so far. Lots of talking and traveling, not much shooting. Is the whole game like this, or is it just because it's still the intro?
Also:
1) Is there any perks that are obviously OP that I need to make sure I pick up? I don't really want to follow any guides, and I'm playing on easy so I figure it probably doesn't matter, but if there's a perk that will make things simpler I want to get it!
2) I don't get what is supposed to happen with the police. They got mad at me for some reason, and chased me down and crashed my car. So I got out of the car and just walked away, and they didn't shoot at me or follow or anything. Weird! Are they supposed to arrest me? charge me a fine or something?
3) Can I change my underwear? Or am I stuck in purple boxer briefs?
4) Do you get to ummm ... experience any of the the um... sexy time braindances?

I'm enjoying the story a lot, but man, they really re-introduced a ton of bugs that had been fixed before 2.0 came out. Cars not summoning, can't crouch, can't sprint. Game crashing every other time I play. Very frustrating. Hope they get a bug fix patch in soon.

They did say they're working on a patch for update 2.0.1.
I finally got to where Songbird makes contact with you, so now I'm going to finish more of the side gigs and other missions before going to Dogtown. Phantom Liberty will be done before I go and meet Hanako at Embers.

So I finally stumbled across the prostitutes in game, so I figured I'd give the male one a test drive. $100 is kind of a bargain I suppose. Was shocked at the fairly graphic gay sex that showed up in that cut scene. And awfully brave of them to assume my character was a top.
Do people bother with the food buffs in this game? so far they seem small and short lived and not worth the effort.
Can anyone recommend a good "jack of all trades" beginner build? I'm not sure if my strategy of just putting points in things that "sound cool" is going to pay off.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition Becomes First Xbox Series X Game on 3 Discs
The just announced Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will become the first Xbox Series X game to release with three discs, CD Projekt Red has confirmed.
Speaking to IGN, a spokesperson clarified exactly how the Ultimate Edition — which packages the base Cyberpunk 2077 with its Phantom Liberty expansion — will be released on each system.
"The Xbox Series X box contains three discs with the base game and expansion," the CD Projekt Red spokesperson confirmed, which makes it the only physical version of Phantom Liberty available across any platform.
"The PlayStation 5 box includes a game disc with Cyberpunk 2077 and a code for the expansion to be redeemed in the PlayStation Store," they added. "The PC version comes with a GOG code for both the base game and the expansion. The reason for the difference in how the Phantom Liberty is included in the Ultimate Edition is due to technical requirements specific to each platform."
While fellow hit role-playing game Baldur's Gate 3 was set to become the first triple disc Xbox Series X game when it arrives in the first quarter of 2024, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will beat it across the line by launching December 5, 2023. PS5 exclusive Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is also set to launch on two discs when it comes out in February.

Then I'm not bothering getting the "complete" edition on PS5 for double what I can just buy that DLC code for. Would be nice to have it all on discs.
