Is there any way to play this game in it's original broken state? I ask because eventually this game is going to be like 10 bucks and I would love to play it in that state.

Put your system offline when you put the game in so it doesn't download any updates.

There weren't really any funny glitches to behold, like playing launch version of No Man's Sky. On PC/PS5 it just crashed all the time.

Best Buy had it for $10 last month (read up a few posts) for the console disc copies. I haven't played it yet, but I imagine that's the no-patched version out of the box.

Yeah, there is no way I'll remember to disconnect before playing but maybe I'll try to. I'll never forget the videos people were uploading when it first released.

When is this getting optimized? If I finish Far Cry 6, this could be next after if…

CD PROJEKT said today that the Xbox Series and PS5 versions of Cyberpunk 2077 won't be coming out until Q1 '22.

The cross generational patch 1.5 is live. It's 50gb.

The patch is around 50GB for each platform, and if you’re playing on PS5 you’ll have to manually select the new PS5 version and reinstall the game fully to get the latest improvements. You may even need to move your game save manually too, as PS5 players are currently playing the PS4 version of the game.

Well that's a nice surprise. I haven't touched the game since I picked it up for $10.

Same. I'm now downloading the PS5 version using my PS4 disc. 95gb/55gb dl. At least the servers are fast today.

Cool, I guess it's finally time for me to open it up and give it a whirl.

what should the total file be? i saw initially it was 102 GB, then when i uninstalled and reinstalled with new patch, total of only 63ish GB. that doesn't make sense if this is a large patch. means game was only in teens in GB?

something must be wrong with my game. Xbox wouldn’t be that much smaller. By 40GB? No. How can I reinstall as if I never had?

It was listed in the store as 94gb but was only a 55gb download and is 56gb installed. Seems right.

No. Patches replace existing data and assets, there's no point in keeping the old ones around so it purges them instead of wasting space. It's a patch/upgrade, not DLC.

I gotcha. Thanks Rich. So I guess 64 total on XBSX sounds right.

Currently doing the same.

According to a Gamespot article I read, you can transfer over only (1) save from PS4 to PS5 (via the cloud), if you began playing this game on PS4 and are upgrading to PS5 to continue your playing.

Hopefully, that works out without a hitch because I put in about 86-hours into the game initially on PS4. I'll know in a few hours

So if I have the game sitting on my shelf and have never put it in my PS5, what is the best way to get up and running on the PS5 version with a minimum of installs/downloads? I don't really want to install or patch the PS4 version if I don't have to.
