uh oh thread police has arrived!


Technically that thread is about Dark Souls 1. I thought this was new thread worthy. apologies.

The only question for me is do I pick this up on 360 or Ps3...I played the first two on my ps3...and even though I bought it for the 360, I have yet to dive into it again on that system. It just feels like a game I play on my ps3, but I really do love my 360 controller.

Either way, day one. I don't care if the reviews say it is a 1 out of 10 game, day fucking 1...

Ugh.....(prepares to get kicked in the balls for another hundred hours).

Day 1 purchase for sure. I still haven't bought the Dark Souls DLC. I'll have to pick that up and go through it before this launches.

Actually it's not. It's a thread for Dark Souls 2, hence "Dark Souls II (2013?)" in the title.

I apologize, I thought you were linking the old official Dark Souls thread. however, does it really matter? There is very little traffic on this board, I really don't think I am "junking" up the forum by making this thread.

It is pretty big news that there is a gameplay video. If I just put the info in one of the general Dark Souls threads, people may miss it.



you definitely need to get that DLC, it is awesome. Hard as hell, but the boss fights are epic.



i will probably get it on the PC. That is if the specs aren't much higher than the first Dark Souls. My laptop isn't a powerhouse, but it does play console ports very well. I just hope From Software learned its lesson and optimizes the PC version better. Plus, I have my Dark Souls youtube channel, and I love recording gameplay and uploading to it.

This thread is so much better than the other one, so this one can stay. The other can be archived/deleted.

The dude with the hipster 'stache and the seemingly uninterested Namco Bandai translator threw me. But concentrating on the actual gameplay has got me SUUUUPER interested!

I haven't watched it yet, but I'm assuming that 12 minutes of game play included 413 player deaths.

i thought the graphics looked gorgeous. that bridge with all of the dragons flying around was awesome.

So far, I am pretty impressed. Whoever was playing it did die alot so maybe they didn't "noobify" it. I was hoping to see a boss fight

I have played Demon and dark souls and LOVE them(like everyone else I assume) I watched the demo and aside from the Japanese translations, it was great. I hope they add some kind of pause for this one. Sometimes you want to go to the bathroom.........

That would pretty much neuter the experience.

Easy way to sell me on this game: Include an easy and normal difficulty mode.

When it come out, going to be playing as magic user. I found much it easier casting spell at enemies then melee fighting. Hope they put the Moonlight Greatsword in this one.

I am still trying to get the platinum for Demon's Souls. I just need to upgrade 3 more weapons and THEN I'll start Dark Souls. I'll probably get around to Dark Souls 2 in about 3 years.
