Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Downloaded the DLC for Mario Kart 8. Link is pretty cool and so is his bike. ;)

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
It's not possible to buy a Virtual Console game if I don't own a Wii U myself, right? My brother purchased a Wii U recently and I would like to buy him a VC game.

They have an online store now where you buy the game and they send you a code to redeem.

I played Bayonetta on Xbox. The character is sexy. Her costume is made from her hair. Certain special attacks utilize her hair. This causes more of her skin to be seen as her costume grows smaller, but I don't recall any nudity. I don't recall her having any sexual encounters. Most people would probably get more titillation from watching reruns of Baywatch. I doubt the second game is any different.

Surprisingly good reviews for the Captain Toad game.

Not sure why it's surprising it's looked awesome from the start.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
It looked like a cash-in on some throwaway levels from a Mario game. I'd say the reviews are surprisingly good.

I know this is really late, but there's a ton of swearing in the game. It kinda surprised me when I finally opened it last week, since I didn't remember that.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
We took the plunge and got a WiiU for the family for Christmas (it's just sitting there, taunting me!).
Here's my question: I've got three kids. They want to play Smash Bros. I know the four of us can play together. However, would it be worth it to add Amiibos for them? As in, can each of the players bring an Amiibo into the game? Hope that question makes sense. |

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Yes via eight-player Smash you could have four human players and each of them were teamed up with am Amiibo.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
finally "beat" dkc: tropical freeze. have to go collect everything now, but it was a pretty great game.
i used another 70 or so lives trying to beat that final stage in Mario 3D World... i made it to the final green star several times, but died. I'm resorting to using peach with fire and catsuit backup. i'll come back to it at some point i'm sure. im thinking of just trading in Super Smash Bros... its a game i SHOULD love, but i just cant get into it. Gamestop has a guaranteed $40 trade in by 12/10, so ill probably trade it for Toad. Anyone get any of the latest eshop offerings? Some of them look great and are well reviewed. |

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but is there any word when the Gamecube controller adapter will be available again?
|
The rumor is that they'll pop up in stores alongside the second wave of Amiibo, which is only a week away.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Been playing Captain Toad this weekend... and it's pretty cool. My younger kids (10yo boy and 8yo girl) are loving it too.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Using motion controls for looking around is so stupid - it's so much more efficient to just use a thumbstick for that.
Anyhoo, the game looks nice, though not as nice as Far Cry 4 or even Skyrim... Hopefully the world is more dense than those games, though it doesn't seem like it is. |
