Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain...ails-revealed/

The game takes place ten years after the Darkspawn blight plagued Ferelden. You play as an Inquisitor in Thedas.

The Chantry and the Mages are at war, with the Templar split off from the Chantry and plenty of chaos and politicking going on hither and thither. In neighboring Orlais, civil war bleeds the land. And Ferelden is still picking up the pieces of its Darkspawn doom.

Then the sky opens up and starts dumping demons everywhere.

As a member of the Inquisition, part of what you’re out to do is find out what exactly just happened.

Here’s what we’ve learned about the game so far:

1. You play as the leader of the Inquisition. Apparently this happens early on, as you’re the last surviving witness to the mysterious “breach.” You lead the Inquisition, shaping it from the ground up.

2. Multiple PC races are back. I suspected we’d only get to play humans, but Inquisition is bringing back Elves, Dwarfs, and Humans. This is one of a number of ways the team is trying to recapture the Dragon Age: Origins spirit after Dragon Age II ditched multiple races in favor of just humans. BioWare isn’t saying if there will be other playable races like the qunari or not.

There won’t be different origins, but all races will have their own unique pros and cons that can affect both gameplay and story.
More in the link...

I really should go back and replay 1 and 2.

It's funny, I've beaten DA2 several times but I never finished DA:O. Although that's mainly because a hard drive failure had wiped out my DA:O game save.

I am the opposite, I have beaten DA:O twice but haven't finished DA2 yet. I enjoy both games but I prefer the first one, I found the quest lines to be a bit more compelling, whereas the second one is kind of faster paced but the story doesn't have as much focus. I'll get around to beating it one of these days, I just get distracted with other games.

I've heard that the main goal of DA3 will be to hunt down the villain who recycled all the maps in DA2.

The problem for me was that I was already so far along when I lost my save that it killed my desire to start over from scratch just to get to where I left off.

Well, if you ever get the itch you could always make a character of a different race and class, that way the intro story will be different. And with a new class you can pick a different party to play with, so it's not to repetitive of your first save.

That's not exactly a "gameplay" trailer.

Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

Aside from not having a HUD on screen, some of that was actual gameplay, not just cutscene material.

Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

Definitely makes up for the pain of Witcher 3 being delayed. Gonna really hurt if this one gets pushed to 2015 as well.

If the game doesn't reference this, I'll be pissed:
