Should moderators try to be funny by being smart asses and spreading false information?

What false information?

The ones here in DVDtalk come from an ancient race of moderators.

Sounds racist. But I'll let it slide.

I played through episode one last night. It took about an hour and a half. The controls are "weird" at first, but so far, I'm really liking the story. It makes me wonder just how much control you have over which locations you visit. I can already see myself playing through this a second time, just to see how much I can change the course of the story, or if it's still pretty much set in stone.

The story is the story, you're not really going to change that. But the people you interact with and their overall attitudes toward you, which sets tone, is highly influenced by your choices.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

End of game spoilers/thoughts:
Spoiler:
Oh man, it was so worth not having them cut my arm off. Getting to the hotel at the end with a cleaver in one hand, and a broken shard of glass slicing into my other hand, while slaughtering zombies like a badass. Seemed so pointless to chop my arm off, since it had to be too late given the amount of time that had passed.

Great ending, very powerful and sad. I wanted to not kill the stranger, but Clem took care of him anyway, that was pretty shocking. After seeing the post credits, I'm going to think that it was Christa and Omid that Clem spotted (and they obviously spotted her since they stopped and turned), maybe we'll find out in season 2?

Was there a different post credit scene for others?

BTW, Steam shows 11 hours played.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I have 14 hours played on Steam for me, although I had a couple re-starts of Episode 1 because I was playing on different computers.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Mine was straight through, didn't replay anything. Wasn't rushing either. Odd that times can vary so much on a game that is so linear.

Finished Episode 2.
Spoiler:
Barely any zombies in this one, which is fine. I accidentally let Clementine eat the meat... :( And was the woman at the camp (who I decided to shoot in the face) supposed to be Clem's mother or something? I wish I could just replay that last part, as I was kind of distracted at that point.

Spoiler:
Not her mother. You'll know when you see Clem's mom. hmmm well on the other hand I don't get how you thought that was Clem's mom so you might miss Clem's mom. Did you get to the part where you meet Clem's brother Kenny and then you have to figure out why he is pretending not to know her?

^ So... I shouldn't have read your spoilers. I thought you were just going to mention events in Episode 2, but now it's pretty clear what I should expect... :(

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

;) Either way, it's all good. Spoilers aren't a HUGE deal for me when it comes to games. I wasn't totally surprised by the big revelation in Episode 2... the hints dropped by the family were a little too obvious.

Episode 2 was my least favorite because of that. Way too obvious.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Finished the game yesterday.
Very emotional. I watched a play-through of someone else, and it was interesting to see how certain things were "different" but still similar, and how it all culminates into the final 2 or 3 scenes.
The game didn't make me cry, like:
Spoiler:

But, I cared about the characters more than any other game.

I really hope they continue with new episodes, no matter how they do it.

I would like it to be completely different characters and then halfway through the game you come across
Spoiler:
Clem and realize you and the other person with you were the two people Clem saw in the distance.
