Before if I didn't like any of the games I would still buy it for a $1 just in case it had a good 2nd week game. It usually didn't pay off because the 2nd week game are usually related to the initial games, which I didn't care for to begin with. Now that they've made 2nd week unlocks BTA only if the initial BTA games are not that good I just wait for the reveal. Since the change I haven't bought any HB in the second week.

The $10 limited edition option only reinforces the wait and see option since I expect the BTA price to drop now that it's sold out.

The average price has dropped a few bucks since the initial $10 limited bonus sale. However, it appears to be leveling off now, according to the charts on this site:

I'm guessing the average will hover around $5.50 for the next few days. When the 2nd weeks BTA bonuses are added, the average will probably rise slightly, as evidenced by charts of previous humble bundles. I doubt this one's average will get under $5, or higher than $6 again.

So, I take it with this bundle you can play Day Z just like you could if you bought the game from Steam for $29.99? Is there any difference?

The difference is between the DayZ mod for Arma II, and the DayZ standalone version. The one selling on Steam for $30 is the Alpha version of the standalone.

DayZ originally started as a mod for Arma II, requiring the ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead expansion as well, and is available for free. After it became insanely popular, the mod developer passed off the mod to the community and started developing the standalone version. The mod is the more stable version right now, but I imagine most people will migrate over to the standalone as it develops and adds more features not in the mod.
